Ugh!! I gained a pound this week, but I know exactly what I did! If I can't get myself to exercise, I need to cut back on the eating. My fault! Two steps forward and one step back!!

Ugh, We are starting to get cool weather finally here but now my sinuses are going nuts because the temperature bounces back and forth from cool to hot. Feel like crap.
But on the plus side I'm down 2.6 from last week. Have temp crowns on both sides is limiting my diet right now to smoothies and other soft foods. Don't want to take a chance on knocking one out since my dentist is way across town and I'd have to take a day off to get it fixed. Thankfully the permanents are supposed to go in Nov 21st so should be back on track for Thanksgiving. LOL

Same here, rihannsu. The weather is changing but it is a a huge adjustment and I don't feel well. Last week we had a flood here and our house had some minor damage. I'm not complaining because some people lost everything, but just a bit of a hassle.
Because of the hassle with the flood cleanup, I am just now starting on my new walking goal - 1.5 miles in 30 minutes. I did that distance for the first time yesterday and made the time! So I will be working on that this week and hopefully consistently making it. Also got in an aerobics class.

Sh!t is it Wednesday already. You all are so good about checking in. I saw your posts as I was reading down the most recent and went dammmmmn I'm slow. I'm not doing that hot in even just maintaining. I'm trying to start my own business/non profit and applying for jobs at the same time. Chewing on my gum a mile a minute lol. Stressed and not accomplishing much. Oh, that's why I eat. The what I eat I keep blaming on the DH who does things like buying supper at Taco Bell for our DS. Not stuff that the DS will eat, no, he buys them for the entry code on the box so the DS can try and win a playstation 4. The gordita and soft taco he leaves for me, who didn't ask for it, already ate supper. grrrrrr I can't (ok don't want to) feed it to the dogs. I'll try and work it into a taco salad. I sabotage myself enough that his help just takes it OTT. haha I'm the one with the bum ankle now. I've been wearing a boot to try and help it. Cut back my walking the dogs to zilch to try and get it healed up. I thought it would just go away, but no, had it for a month now. My neighbor/work out partner is going to go on a 4 week cleanse. Yeah right, if I could do that long I wouldn't be in this situation. I need to do a day, just one day. hMpff, now depressed but I can still squeeeeeeee waiting for tomorrow night and GLEE! Maybe I'll go peddle my bike.

Yay! Did better this week! Down 1.6 lbs probably due to exercising more. Have to admit that as much as I have no desire to exercise, I feel better when I do. Oh, well. Onward and upward!!!!!

So I ended up having to leave work early today. Have all over body aches, burning eyes and now chills. But after losing only .4 lbs a week in both Sept & Oct even though I was working out steadily I have ended up barely walking at all in the last week or so but have suddenly jumped to 1.7 lbs weekly loss in Nov so far. Being to steady & uniform with your workout routine no matter what it is can set you up for your body adapting to that routine which is why you will often plateau. Shaking things up is beneficial for your body.

Shaking things up with the flu is not the way I'd choose to do it. Hope you feel better rihannsu. Starchild, (reference to Q3 mixup there, hee) glad things are picking up. I get that endorphine high sometimes too. Your body just moves better for the rest of the day.

Wednesday - Check in Day
Oh hey, look it's Wednesday. Crazy week with the holiday. My kid stayed home sick. Yesterday I had all day jury duty, didn't get picked, may have to go back. Being away from home meant being away from all my food storage, yeah! So I was pretty good. Everybody still sleeping in my house, will have to weigh myself later but we've hit birthday season at my house, all three of us in the space of a month. Love my frozen bananan & strawberry, protein powder, ground flax & chia seeds, smoothies.

I have been good about walking, still working on the 1.5 miles at 30 minutes. I am making it but not consistently -- a couple of times have been 31 minutes -- so I'm going to keep at that this week before setting my sights on a new goal. I went shopping for something to wear to Winstar and felt like I was stepping along vigorously. But when I would catch a look at myself in the mirrors, I looked like a little fat person dragging along with little energy. So I have a long way to go. It is finally cool here which makes it much easier to exercise. It occurred to me yesterday when I was walking that we have two seasons: ungodly hot and not ungodly hot. We have about 7 months of nice weather and 5 months of hot weather. It does affect your desire to be outdoors where your exercise is both interesting and free. I took a break from farm baskets because I was sick of okra and black-eyed peas, but I am back to it and getting a basket today. Yay! Can't wait to see what I get! Finally -- I don't know why I never thought to mention this before -- I have a motivational tip about walking. I started doing this sometime ago. I am a Lewis & Clark nut and have traveled the L&C trail a number of times. I map out my distance that I walk with a map of the trail and track my progress along the trail. I started doing this about three years ago and have "walked" from St. Louis to Bismarck, North Dakota. You could do this along any route you are interested in or dream of traveling.
