For folks aren't familiar with CCTV, "China Central Television or Chinese Central Television, commonly abbreviated as CCTV, is the predominant state television broadcaster in mainland China. CCTV has a network of 22 channels broadcasting different programmes and is accessible to more than one billion viewers." In short, CCTV is the Chinese government's mouthpiece and Adam is said to be the first openly gay artist to be featured on the program. So, it's a big deal and significant not only for Adam but also for the Chinese social progress!
