Wow - I'm both impressed by this interview and the background you've provided maddie. This IS a big deal and our guy shines. AFL speaking words. Sigh...
Thanks so much for bringing it to us! I had minimum buffering - ran pretty smoothly for me.

Awesome interview!
Adam is so articulate. I had to watch it twice because the first time I was too concentrated on his face, especially his eyes and lips  to be able to listen to what he was saying.
That´s a great introduction for people who don´t know who he is.

Great interview and love Adam's look here -- ahem, glances over to avi... With your avi (my favorite) look in that interview?

[/IMG]
Maddie, he talks about Sauli. Is that surprising to you?
Yay! Finally made it to the end! [/IMG] No, Pat, I wasn't surprised to hear him talking about Sauli on this particular program on CCTV, whose target audiences are the well-educated and more liberal-minded demo. Nothing really new to us but it's an awesome showcase and introduction to the Chinese masses. Oh, stardust, here is a nice bio article on the host, Eyee Hsu --- english.cntv.cn/program/upclose/20120405/117925.shtmlGlad you guys enjoyed it! ETA: When talking about growing as an artist and a person, Adam said what he'd learned was to be in control was knowing when to release some of it and surrender. (paraphrasing here) This, somehow, stood out in my mind.

highlights of the show today for me are:
- Adam lifted his shirt to show some skin in Trespassing - He went into the audience, talked to a girl saying that she was glamorous and beautiful - he got a fedora hat from the audience, put in his head swiftly and threw it back to the audience - He said Hello in Vietnamese in a cutest accent - He keeled and lied down on the floor in the duet
What else do I miss?

What a wonderful interview. That's a keeper, for sure. It's a great introduction to Adam for newbies. And for those who recently have questioned who the hell is Adam Lambert to be talking about vocals and musical theater, it provides the background to answer that question.
As I have mentioned before, as a teenager I was involved in a kids' musical theater group as well as in orchestra and choir at school. When Adam talks about feeling like an outsider at school, and finding friends and a community to belong to, it resonates deeply for me. I can think of a number of theater kids who would tell the same story. It is vindication for us all, in a small way, to see "one of us" make it big. So, I was thrilled to hear him talk about it in the interview again. It's an interview I could show to those old friends and they might appreciate Adam in a deeper way. Even become fans?
I'm eagerly awaiting a YT version and a download.

What do you think the show's regular audience will take it, like are they patient enough to listen to an American gay singer talking, are they gonna feel weird, or curious or interesting? Vietnamese TV and radio are never proactive. I wished some TV shows invited Adam to their show when they knew Adam would be coming, like what was done in China, but they didn't. There are The Voice and Idol versions in Vietnam, and these shows are still on air now, they could have invited Adam to perform. They are quite dumb.

A MUST WATCH INTERVIEW...
Do you guys remember while Adam was in Shanghai last time doing the Hennessy concert, he was interviewed by a CCTV program called "UpClose"? For folks aren't familiar with CCTV, "China Central Television or Chinese Central Television, commonly abbreviated as CCTV, is the predominant state television broadcaster in mainland China. CCTV has a network of 22 channels broadcasting different programmes and is accessible to more than one billion viewers." In short, CCTV is the Chinese government's mouthpiece and Adam is said to be the first openly gay artist to be featured on the program. So, it's a big deal and significant not only for Adam but also for the Chinese social progress!

Loved this interview! I could listen to him talk forever. And to think a billion people could get to see him and become as mesmerized by him as we are....amazing!
