WWFM (pop-rockish) was his big hit & "they" tried following up with similar songs that went in essence nowhere. Where did they? On the BONUS tracks of the Deluxe edition? Give me an album in the spirit of "Runnin'" and I will be a happy camper.  In fact, looking at Runnin' and Take Back, I suspect Album #2 could have been very much a Pop-Rock thing if it was not for Pharrell (which wasn't a bad thing). IMHO the problem "they" had was called Dr.Luke and to a certain extent Claude Kelly. And then there was the whole Maypril waiting for NCOE which shouldn't have happened. But Trespassing is largely wonderful as it is, it was just rolled out... strangely. Ha!! "Strangely" is a nice way of putting it! ;D |

Quick comment about the Cameron deal...IMO he said what he said about Adam. E-mailing him about Adam's cred? Why? He was angry about Adam's comments..many were, many were supportive. Fanning fuel to a subject that is finally starting to die down eludes me. He's still gonna be angry even if Adam invented musical theater. Cameron has an interest in this film. Personally, I'd let it go away...JMO..  Can't convert everyone.. And sometimes we can hurt Adam with too much zeal. Disclaimer: I claim this as my own personal opinion and y'all do what you gotta do. god, I hate disclaimers..  |
