Not a big deal to fans, but a big deal to the straight conservative radio pds that were looking for a perfect reason not to expose the 'evil gay' that might turn their kids gay. Anyway the sequence of these occurences were very telling and all they were interested for weeks after that was 'the finland incident'. If you read one of my posts, I did mention that one radio dj - @billyontheradio was demonstrating how he felt the event went in finland, embarrazing and practically making fun of Adam. I remember his first promo visit for the single in the US then at ryransecreast station was also about that and how he had so old fans. That shows although, it might not have meant anything to you, it did mean something to some of those fat radio pds/djs. No sign that any of this had anything to do with airplay. DJs have no say in playlists and rotation schedules. And if it did, it is water under the bridge. Gone. Adam has moved on to Adam #3, so have I. I know djs don't control playlists and have said so in many posts. Some of the djs are also programme directors though or are key members of the radio coglomerates. I know ryan secreast is major in clear channel and that top Jazzrocks' 40 dj is some kind of PD also for example. Aside from this, I'm also sure those coglomerates being headed by human beings means they are in touch with popular culture and know who they want to promote or not. I'm also sure there are regular board meetings where they maybe profile some of the artists they are considering for airplay etc.

Adam Lambert @adamlambert @misskellyo your gown is soooo pretty! You look divine neighbor! lol ETA: Where is he? ??? Maybe Kelly stopped by to show Adam her dress now they are neighbors. So, Adam could be at home????? ;D In my fuddy duddy era, ya know, GOWNS often referred to nightclothes. Def not saying that is the case here, but maybe Ms. Kelly was outside her door picking up that Amazon package she ordered and did not properly dress for the occasion. Hmmmm? Edit: Ooops mys*&@^#r, sorry. :-[ LOL.

I think it did. This is because there was so much buzz surrounding the single release then and even some of the top 40 stations were buzzing about it. That was a popular LA HAC station that had announced Adam released a new single they would spin at so and so, and then they all chickened out. I just noticed a lot of those Clear Channel stations chickened out right after that incident. It was my observation and I'm not claiming to be in the know. I don't believe it mattered a bit career wise. I live in LA and do not recall this buzz you are speaking of. LA has never been radio friendly to Adam; I only even heard WWFM two or three times on my local station. I have often been jealous hearing friends from the east coast, or even friends in Northern California, talk about hearing Adam's songs on the radio. In fact, I heard BYIKM the same number of times on local radio here this time that I heard WWFM on local radio last era, lol. Trespassing is a great pop album! The music is all good and is there. Adam just needs a series of the right things all coming together at the right time. You can plan and strategize and work at creating those things, but some of that convergence just has to happen. Adam is doing his part so well. He makes great music, he looks incredible, he creates fashion moments, everyone who works with him loves him, he works hard and he takes on all challenges that come his way. He puts himself out there and is ready. DMG is doing well getting him on PLL and Divas and needs to continue to get him appearances and opportunities in the right markets that complement the brand they are working to create. Adam gives them so much to work with: he looks and sounds great and is original and real. It would be an exciting challenge to be on his team! All Adam needs is for everybody to be seeing and talking about him right as #3 comes out, lol. That is the goal, Adam, DMG and label, so create the release date, stick to it and organize a plan to make that happen. Seriously, the bottom line for me, personally, is that Adam is making more music! Yay!!! I can't wait to have more, more, more. And I'm all for Q3 as ticket seller. This fandom could set up a few easy shows for him that would be very profitable, lol. Lots of us love throwing money and airline tickets his way. Hey, some of us would pay for an hour interview. ;D I respect your view, but I still do it affected things. Say while 90% of the radio stations that spinned his earlier singles refused to support him even after he played their concerts and visited them all summer long. Maybe I have this attitude because I'm not one of the fans that believe his songs were terrible and not fit for singles. Also the hoopla those stations made of it during promo was just offputting.

Wait. HUH? The Is This Love that belongs to Bob Marley? Are you srsly suggesting he should have released a COVER as his lead single? JIGGA WUT? Lol...erm. Sorry I am kinda boggled over why that would be anyone's strategy. I had to delurk for that because....huh? And this too! Why would he release a cover to introduce his sophomore offering? It falls in the same category as some fans that want Adam to collaborate with Queen at all costs when he already did that and that neither brought him buzz or chart success including radio play. The Queen concerts didn't help Adam with buzz or chart success in the US and likely a number of other places inn the world. But I think it did help in some areas, in particular the non-London areas where they played. He has 4 big concerts in that area this spring and I can't help but believe it is due to the Queen concerts.

Well JT puts a song out aand see what radio does: @979wnci: Brand new @jtimberlake at the top of every hour tomorrow starting at 1am. Every hour! Gonna be a good day. Same will happen for Gaga, Adele, Rhianna. Exactly this! They hear the name and automatically put them on the highest rotation all accross board, so why won't they sell? Did you see how they jumped all over Bruno's? Yet Adam released a Bruno song and they made it appear it was unfit for radio!
