And this too! Why would he release a cover to introduce his sophomore offering? It falls in the same category as some fans that want Adam to collaborate with Queen at all costs when he already did that and that neither brought him buzz or chart success including radio play. The Queen concerts didn't help Adam with buzz or chart success in the US and likely a number of other places inn the world. But I think it did help in some areas, in particular the non-London areas where they played. He has 4 big concerts in that area this spring and I can't help but believe it is due to the Queen concerts. Those concerts were the Queen collaboration. He hasn't gone back to London to have any concert as far as I know. And yes, those concerts did not help him with anything - no increased radio play, sales or buzz. You can post any result to the contrary if you have them  |

IMO releasing a cover as a first single would have sunk the album from the start. And pop for sure wouldn't touch a straight-up Bob Marley cover. Maybe he just needs to go back to what "worked" with FYE; along with a better role-out, of course. And I want a collaboration!!!! I am practically crying because Pink's next single is a duet. The song, "Just Give Me a Reason" is amazing (check out the VH1 Storytellers version) and Adam would have killed it! Don't get me wrong, the Fun. guy is great, and I am a fan; but this was something just made for Adam to sing on. Maybe a collaboration with someone mega-cool like Pink (I adore her) would be enough for radio to finally pay attention and take Adam seriously. I doubt this with Pink. Hasn't she repeatedly said the only thing that came out of AI is Kelly Clarkson and she has also being quoted as saying she hates AI as it's a karaoke show? She wouldn't even mention Adam by name the few times she spoke about WWFM. I used to like her, but not after discovering this side of her. |
