Anyone else has problems with the size of the page? :-/ ETA: No problems anymore, since I started page 2. Yay!!! 8-) So Adam attended a charity event? He looked wonderful!!! As for yesterday's conversation about Idol: Do you remember Simon's face when Kris was announced as winner ? He was NOT happy! None of them were happy, IMO. lol And look at the WTF faces in the audience. ;D Wow... It's when I see videos like this one that I shake my head and wonder how the hell didn't he win. Even the Kiss guys were like: "WTF??? Noooooo..." Someone mentioned yesterday that the votes from LA didn't count? [/IMG] Why? [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG]
The votes from Los Angeles counted. I wasted a ton of time analyzing the Adam v. Kris vote. My conclusion, Kris had more votes and it probably was not close. I also believe that if all of America had one vote, Adam would have won. And if it was a global contest, Adam would have won. That is not how Idol works. >> Rerun this now, in 2013 America and Adam might win but American attitudes have changed a lot in the past 4 years. 1. Only about 29 million people in the US watched the 2009 final. That is out of about 325 million US residents in 2009. So less than 9% of Americans watched. > Viewership is heaviest in the Southeast US and upper Mid-West. (The most conservative parts of the US.) 2. Only a small percentage of viewers vote. Text voters cast many more votes than phone voters. In 2009, the exclusive mobile voting supplier was AT&T which was skewed toward the SE US. 3. Generally, people in the Mountain and Pacific time zones are less likely to watch Idol, and also less likely to vote. 4. Kris' fans were very well organized and had local voting campaigns. There were about 100 million votes. If Kris got 55 million votes and his voters voted an average of 100 times each, that is only 1,000,000 voters -- in other words only 0.3% of Americans could have voted for Kris. (I think the average number of vote could have been much higher, and the number of voters is much lower.) When Idol says, "America voted and...". it is not true. But it makes good copy and sounds better to say there were 100 million votes vs. 1.2 million people voted.5. For both AI7 and AI8, online buzz favored the Idol who came in #2, Winning the online audience is not enough to win Idol. Some more info about Idol from Nielsen: www.nielsen.com/content/dam/nielsen/en_us/documents/pdf/Press%20Releases/2008/May/The%20Nielsen%20Company%20Measures%20the%20American%20Idol%20Phenom.pdf

So, are there alot of other celebrities that live in Adam's neighborhood. Sounds like it may be a great place to network.

since digging idol history here, one question: anybody knows why he wasn't happy with Feeling Good performance?

albiku, I knew my wording was going to be confusing, but I was on my phone and it was too hard to fix. I should have said "If the LA votes had been the only votes that counted, he would have won!" Meaning the audience was ALL his!! He had us in his pocket! When Kris was announced, the whole audience gasped, then a few seconds of WTF? then wild applause for Kris! Also, someone last night said that on the way in Simon knew already who had won because he said, "I'm afraid the right one didn't win." 99% sure you misinterpreted that statement. It would be like someone interviewing me on the way in and me saying "I'm afraid Adam didn't win!" I don't know that, but I am afraid that will be the outcome. My son looked at me as soon as it was announced because he thought I'd be in tears. I just said, "He'll be fine!" I never, for a minute, did not think Adam would be a success! Simon not standing was pretty controversial in IdolLand that year!!. ETA: That year was the beginning of the WGWG Idol syndrome. I don't count David Cook, Season 7, cause he did deserve to win. Adam broke Idol!! ;D
Totally agree with this. And Cook did deserve to win. But this is why I'm not watching any more - it's BROKEN! ( Plus they jerked Adam around on the judges mess.)

since digging idol history here, one question: anybody knows why he wasn't happy with Feeling Good performance? he? Adam or Simon? I think Adam was very happy with his performance, just look at that cheshire cat grin on his face after he finished singing. This is the type of singing that Adam is extremely good at, no one could touch that performance. The only one that didn't get it was Randy, IMO. I have said this before, but it was perfectly done in true Rat Pack style, and I think Simon and Paula got it for sure, if no one else did.

since digging idol history here, one question: anybody knows why he wasn't happy with Feeling Good performance? Do we know he wasn't happy? I don't remember "knowing" that. I can only say that the studio recording of Feeling Good was the best Idol studio recording EVER (this is not negotiable ;D) and one of Adam's best-ever recordings. It is perfection!
