IMO, Adam lost because of Gokey. His fans had an all out plan to vote against Adam. So it wasn't so much Kris' organized voters as it was the "vote against" mindset. Or probably the combination of both.

IMO, Adam lost because of Gokey. His fans had an all out plan to vote against Adam. So it wasn't so much Kris' organized voters as it was the "vote against" mindset. IMO, most, if not all, of Gokey's votes went to Kris. To me it was quite obvious. Gokey's style of singing was more similar to Kris's, and the fans of Gokey were not "smitten" by Adam or his style. It was a no brainer to me that Kris won. I don't know about any organized voting or conspiracy theories, I think that is just silly. It is what it is, and Adam has done just fabulously without that AI win. eta: similarly, most, if not all of Allison's votes went to Adam, which is what knocked Gokey out. |

Or probably the combination of both. I think Eber believes this to be the case also. I don't remember him saying that Gokey's fans were going to vote against Adam but that they would shift their votes to Kris. As I type this I realize that is basically the same thing.  I know I felt that way too. It was my instant reaction. For some reason, I don't feel that same way if Kris had been the one to leave early. I think Kris's fans were his and may not have been interested in voting in the final if Kirs were not in it. Oh well. Adam has done extremely well no matter the outcome at the time. While I'm thinking about it -- have any of you noticed that Adam has started doing like little vocal runs while waiting for the next song in his sets at his performances. It's not skat but I noticed that he did this some when performing with Queen too. Not saying that it's like Enya or Enigma but it is sort of humming and vocalizing -- makes me wonder if he might go a little "new age" on us? Just a thought. |

I think he learned from Queen how to test his earpieces and make sure he is on key before the song starts. Brian tuned his guitar (well not tuned exactly), but tested it. I think it is an excellent way of keeping the show ongoing , but still high quality. Adam could signal the sound guy and make sure he was hearing Brian. One of the many things he learned while playing with the pros. |
