Grinch, here. Am I the only one who thinks that's a mom-fan orchestrated vid of little girl in order for MOM to get to meet Adam? I've seen many cases where moms bring in pix their kids have colored in scrapbooks, etc, to get Adam's attention, cuz who's going to turn down a little kid? Also the mom should be saving to send to art school if her 7-yr old drew that pic of Adam. No offense meant to those who think the little girl is darling, really bullied, etc. You could be right. It doesn't pass the smell test for me. ??? I am going to like pro boards right now to cleanse my palette.
I'm kind of a cynic too. Hard to say what the truth is. When I was a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan and posting on that board, there was a post from a woman who said that her little adopted mixed-race daughter was upset because the second slayer, Kendra, who was black, got killed. It was a very convincing story and even the writers of the show got involved posting comforting messages to the little girl. Eventually we all found out, though someone who knew the poster, that there was no little girl. Unfortunately, there are people out there who are perfectly willing to lie and take advantage of other people's kindness. |

I have to disagree about children becoming attached to Adam. I have two grandchildren from different mothers (a boy and a girl) who are crazy about Adam. (It could be because their grandmother sends them all his music). All I hear when I talk to them is "Gramma, when can we go see Adam." Neither mother of these kids give a hoot about Adam and are not as invested as I am. If I bought tickets, they would go see him. But neither mother goes out of their way to listen to Adam Lambert's music. So I don't know if you should accuse a mom of trying to make her daughter's dream come true because she wants to see him. We just don't know for sure. , I didn't mean to say anything about the little girl. I know that kids (and cats) get attached to Adam. If it's real, that's great. And you are right, no one knows the mom's motives but her. However, I think there are enough real, bullied children, some of whom who may be Adam fans, that I dislike seeing a child "used" if that is the case. Adam has said that he can sniff out these cases, so it is up to him, of course. I guess it hit me the wrong way this a.m., and I've now called attention to it in a way that wasted people's time and effort. Not everyone's motives are pure, that's all. |
