Oh shit, you have effectively put an end to my posting because you've sent me down a rabbit hole. On my way out here's number I wonder how he celebrated that significant birthday? Someone ask him on twitter what he did on his 18th birthday. Oh heck, some fan probably already knows. He turned 18 when he was a senior in high school. So I would guess not too wild a night.

Quick question: are we supposed to see locations only if we are logged in? Thanks! Yes.

You really don't have to avoid it. It's better than animal fats and oils, for sure. It's just another fat that can be included in your diet, like any other fats. The trick is to know that it's a saturated fat that can't be used as much as you want (10% of the daily caloric intake). As long as you keep it healthy, you can use it. But if you have to choose between olive oil and coconut oil, if you want the healthy stuff take the olive oil. There is some controversy surrounding coconut oil. Here are a couple of good balanced reviews: healthyliving.msn.com/diseases/cholesterol/coconut-oil-1www.nytimes.com/2011/03/02/dining/02Appe.html?pagewanted=allThe second link doesn't work. Anyway, my position on this matter is the one I explained before, which is the same one that was quoted by Dr. Daniel Hwang in the first link: “Coconut is good food, in moderation.”
It's just another fat, that's all. My point is that it's just not healthier than olive oil. On the contrary, it seems it increases LDL cholesterol, which is a bad thing. The benefits of olive oil are well researched and backed by many, many studies and a whole lot of scientific data.
If you make me choose between an oil wich increases HDL and an oil which increases both HDL and LDL, I'm going to choose the first one. As a doctor, and as a consumer.

That's what I thought, albiku! Thank you for clarifying! I always avoid anything with coconut oil in it! Is our old kissy face around? Interesting.. I've only learned about coconut oil researching on the web and it can get a little confusing.. Here's a link to Dr. Oz's website about the Health Benefits of Coconut Oil where it answers the question about whether it can reduce cholesterol. To keep this on track.. I wonder if Adam found out about coconut oil by watching Dr. Oz. www.doctoroz.com/videos/surprising-health-benefits-coconut-oil

I think you do have to adjust it outside, but the proportions of your avi look fine to me.

So, what song should I put on the menu page of the London Day 3 Blu-Ray? Any suggestions?
My vote would be for Don't Stop Me Now (only because it's my favorite Queen song).

Ok LindaG, thanks for checking the sizing for me. At least I know it's the best it can be...until i find a new avi to change it up with. guamgurl, I think your avi is so appropriate for tonight's discussion! Adam is contemplating the pros and cons of coconut oil! And when he was 17 he was testing the waters with BJ.

I've never heard of coconut oil as cooking oil. I love coconut. Why isn't coconut oil popular? It's starting to be popular again, but got a bad rap a while back when it was lumped into all the "bad" fats. I now only use coconut oil to cook with, but you have to be careful about not heating it to the point of smoking.. as with any oils, that's the point when oil starts to break down and degrades. We talked about coconut oil in our first shape up thread a couple of years ago. If I recall it will heat to a higher degree without breaking down that olive oil will. It also is great for giving your hair a good conditioning and can be spread on your skin as well as added to your bath. Costco is now carrying it in very big jars of the same brand I've bought from Fred Meyer. You can spread it on toast, I added it to some quick fudge. Gives everything a slightly different, sweeter taste.
