I was 'shouting' about Energy Music Radio (and used EMR for short) some time ago. Stardust had noticed that they play a lot less Adam. Being late to reply in the shoutverse and having a piece of news too I decided to write a real post.
They have played some Adam during the afternoons but usually much more about 6-10 pm (UK). The playlist shows only the last ten songs so we have only our own experiences to back on. Their playlist/style is developing and to me it feels quite flexible at this point which I like. I agree that during the weekend I heard a little less Adam but it might be due to different programming ideas for the weekend.
I have noticed periods with emphasis on different kinds of music also last week but not as heavily different than this afternoon. It was if not eccentric then just alternative with celtic chant, indian music, Goldfrapp. I heard also Lambada, lol. After my shout they have played three Adam's songs and it is soon 6 pm there. Also sprinkled in were Somebody to Love by Queen+George Michael and Starlight by Muse. Surely have their ideas where to go but feel free to experiment. Maybe that means fewer Adam-centric periods (=3-4songs/hour) than last week - we will see.
And now with Underneath playing the news I mentioned. They have added also the Tune In link to their front page - so most of people can use this www.energymusicradio.co.uk/ I hope Glamberts don't go overboard on requesting Adam songs actually. It is great that EMR is playing Adam but if it becomes to Adam centered it might turn off other listeners. We want new fans to hear Adam so a radio station that 'sprinkles in' Adam songs amongst its playlist is more likely to attract amore diverse audience. Just my opinion.
I agree it gets annoying if some song that irritates you gets played three times in an hour. But EMR plays such a wide range of Adam's songs that I don't see a reason to be afraid of that. Also they vary the time period between songs a lot. It is their choice to keep their playlist looking like they want it to look.
They have been encouraging feedback and noise on twitter so no worries there. I have sent 1-2 requests per day when I have been listening. For me it is also a way to say something about the music in general or just thanks cause I don't do twitter.
They were just talking about a new Prince track tonight, also some Bowie and Adam coming up, mentioned especially FB and twitter to let them know what do you think about their music and should the Prince song stay or go.

I highly recommend the Trespassing 2 skin. The break between posts is very easy to see for me. It's perfect ! Now, we are out of the box.

what are the categories for selecting the artists to perform at the innaugural ceremony? I guess they will choose the less controversal ones. If Adam was chosen, he would be politically controversal, merely because he is gay, do you think? Yes, I think he'd be controversial, but not just because he is gay. Many people probably only hear about him when there is "negative" press about him. Plus, he is a flamboyant and sexual (=scary) gay. Maybe in a few years it would be okay.

The radio station has the choice of what to play. I don't think fans need to worry about requesting.

The links don't open in new tabs :( Did you right-clit on it? Also, if you forget to right click on a link, you can return to Atop by clicking the Back arrow (upper left hand corner). On another topic: When posting this, the cursor would not leave Aleksandrakv's box. I had to switch to BBCode, put my cursor after the last "quote", and then switch back to Visual. Then it worked fine.

I have a habit of composing a longer post in a separate text file. Now I notice that when I copy the text from there and paste it to the reply box the result is not what I see there having the visual on. :(
