I think Beyonce's rendition was wonderful and I wager so did most of the people who heard her and enjoyed her performance regardless. I don't think she deserves be judged or kicked to the curb for choosing to perform how she did. She didn't break any rules that I am aware of. It was still her gorgeous voice after all. I'm not a professional or a purist and it was chill-inducing and stirring as the NA should be. It made a beautiful day more beautiful and that's what matters to me. ETA- I sometimes wonder if Adam ever gets so tired of having his pic taken with people. B-| |

The whole American Inauguration thing every four years is so fascinating from a Canadian viewpoint cause there's NOTHING that happens here when there's a federal election. ZERO. ZILCH. If there's a new Prime Minister elected, there might be a dinner for him in some obscure building in Ottawa. Or maybe the new PM just wanders into his new office and sticks a picture of his wife and kids on his predecessor's desk. I dunno.  |
