Awhile back there was a bit of discussion on ATOP about the early NY Club Kiddies. I talked a little about my favorite uncle, Fred (RIP), one of the pioneers of the NY club scene. In later life his stage name was Rocco Primavera. This is what I grew up with, so perhaps that explains some of why very little gets a WTF reaction from me. Thank you for that jazzhands. I wondered and now I know. "Too much of a good thing is not enough" makes me happy.

I confess I've never understood why some people felt confused about ROF. I understand even less why some people felt uncomfortable. The only thing I thought when I first watched it was: "OMG, that was EPIC!!! The vocals!!! Such an amazing version!!!! And he's sex on legs!!!" But I never felt confused. And of course, I never felt uncomfortable. To the people who felt confused, why did you feel that way? Confused about what? Was it the eastern arrangement? Glampoon, Chokehold is one of my favourites too; and yes, sometimes I forget how much I like it until it randomly plays on my Adam playlist. lol Q3, I don't know if I'm the only one, but I can't get the smileys to work. When I click on "View all smileys" it just doesn't work. ETA: I'm glad the response to the We Are Family Foundation initiative for Adam's birthday was good. It makes me so proud of the fandom! I hope Adam feels proud too. :-D I think AI and America had never seen talent and performance like Adam and ROF on AI stage in 7 years of AI . As far as I remembere contentansts would sing country songs or any songs straight like it is, they didn't change a thing. For 6 years, IMO, AI was a karaoke tv show and then Cook make it a bit different in S7 and then sudenly season 8, Adam gave something that people have never seen on AI stage before. That's what make people and media talked about S8 and Adam every week and we couldn't wait to see what he would do next. People who left and didn't watch AI anymore came back to wactch Adam (and I was one of them).

Reposting this 'cuz last night I couldn't quote the article on my iPhone... "American idol live China", a very nice write-up from Sunday's China Daily. China Daily isn't any run-of-the-mill Chinese newspaper, "it is regarded as the English-language 'window into China' and is often used as a guide to official policies".
"A flamboyant entertainer noted for his powerful voice, electrifying performances and distinctive style, Lambert became a rock and pop icon all over the world after he won second prize in the eighth season of the TV show.
"When his management first contacted us with this opportunity we were thrilled,' says Adam Wilkes, AEG's senior vice-president of Asia Music and Touring, organizer of Lambert's concert in China. 'This is the first star from American Idol to stage a solo concert here.'
Lambert appeared on Chinese TV screens in September when he was the first Western artist to perform on Zhejiang TV's The Voice of China.
Lambert has made other efforts to develop his career in the Chinese market, by engaging the local media. His Sina Weibo account has more than 190,000 followers, and his Chinese fan club is constantly active."

I haven't been posting much lately, so, not sure if this was just me or a new norm since the upgrade....
When I was trying to quote a few lines from an article, I had to copy it to a notepad then copy on to my post here; if I had just copied directly from the article, it would've looked just like HTML codes. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Yes! And it happened earlier with this article that you posted. I asked Q3 about this and this is what she told me: "This is formatting from the original site. It will probably work only pasted on the BBCode tab."
Hope this helps.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Strangely, we have all been experiencing different kinds of problems and just working our way through them. You have so much to look forward to ..... or ..... maybe nothing else will go wrong. Which article were you referencing?

"Idol Confessions" I admit that I was confused by ROF not because of the song but how Adam made me feel when he sang it. It was not something I was expecting. Then the next week when he sang TOMT and I got goose bumps and I think my "middle wheel" did a flip. I still get goose bumps when I hear that song but I am no longer confused. I get the same sensation when I hear Nirvana. When he sings touch I just melt.
