the 0.73, I think it's the result of coversion of currency. It's possible his fans from outside the US donate with their local currency. Maybe not though. In the past, for Charity Water for example, people have posted comments that they were posting "what was left in the checking acct." Or kids donated $1.75. There were some very cute and heartwarming stories about odd amounts during the Water campaign!

albiku, what aura thing please? A fanzine about Adam. It seems the people working on it will get paid with fans' money when they advertise that all the profits will go to Cindy's charity. IMO, covering the expenses and giving the rest to charity is one thing, but actually making money for yourself using Adam's name... I don't know, it kinda crosses a line. After all, neither Adam nor Cindy's charity have endorsed that project (at least publicly). It also seems that the two women behind the fanzine have ripped off Adam before (during the bastard albums), or something. So half the fandom is up in arms, the other half hasn't even heard about this, and a small percentage are vocal about their support to the fanzine (that's what I get from my feed, maybe they're not such a small percentage, I don't really know). And those two women hid their involvement at first, so some people have found it very dishonest of them. Plus, Neil (Adam's brother) took a stand the other day against Aura. My Twitter feed is full of this today. IMO, it sounds kinda shady...

The odd ending could also be from people (la la la) who donated with special numbers like $129.82 for Jan 29, 1982. I do not know anyone who would do something like that. ETA: Regarding Aura, I think we already discussed that thoroughly -- and the info is posted a page one a few days ago.

ROF...what a night. I was never confused about it..I love Middle Eastern influences and this version is totally true to the lyrics. What DID confuse me, tho, was that not one judge commented on the VOCALS! I mean, the range Adam sang and the phrasing..what, he did the song in 4 breaths??..shifting from lower to higher registers effortlessly and holding those crystal clear notes like stars in the sky. I also couldn't fathom why the judges didn't 'get' that Johnny Cash was a rebel in country music..he was a game changer as well. Johnny Cash threw country music on its butt. After I caught MY breath when Adam was finished, I chuckled and said as many did..."I think Johnny Cash would have roared his approval at Adam Lambert tonite". I still don't get why Randy Travis has been so brutalized in the fandom, tho. Adam didn't do a country version, he obviously was not a country artist and Randy was a gentleman about it. He never dissed Adam that I know of. So for me, he has gotten a bum rap that Simon Cowell totally deserved to have heaved on his big mouth. I've never seen anyone defend Randy Travis, so here' s one for the books. Adam did confuse Randy and Randy admitted it. Oh, and that was the week that Adam used bronzer and that stage was on fiyah the moment the camera set eyes on Adam. I wouldn't doubt that hauntingly erotic performance and being drop dead sexy handsome got him to the next round. People voted FOR sex on Idol..who knew??? Best thing that ever happened to that show was ROF, IMO... ETA: What is happening with my paragraphs? They are not coming out anything like my preview???? 4 edits and I have a post I can read. hallelu..

This is why I wish we had gotten an earlier heads up about Adam's endorsement of WAFF. The amount would have been through the roof by now. Apologize if my earlier delete confused people.
