Seems like the vocals are more prominent in this version. I can't wait for all the vids to come in and for tinafea's audio file. Then somebody like terra to improve/edit for the very best audio for our MP3s. I want this version in my car!! |

cassie - thank you for putting my thoughts about the band and Adam last night into better words than I could likely find! As much as I love the band Adam has around him, hearing him with seasoned professionals was really refreshing. That being said, I love Ashley, I think she is the best bass player so far, and I rather like Tommy Joe better on guitar than on bass! I think this is because Tommy Joe likes playing guitar better than he likes playing bass. And he is improving! I think the more opportunities he gets to do solos and improv, the better the show is. It's all good. Re the band discussion: I agree, I think the band is getting better, but last night's was amazing. However, I don't think it's just the fact that Chic is comprised of seasoned, fabulous musicians (although that certainly helps). I also think the sheer quantity of people up there playing makes a difference. Adam has four instruments in the glamily band; Nile has a few guitarists, 2 sets of drums, a horn section, etc. They make a much fuller sound and it fills the air around Adam's voice. I think this was true of QUeen as well. He should always sing with a full orchestra behind him! (Although I'd love to hear him with just a cello) amw, hon, you gotta get an avatar. That bald alien is just weird. |
