Just curious. Has Frank Ocean ever been seen with a boyfriend? I am still unclear where he gets his lbgt "status" and accolades. Was it a letter he wrote or song lyrics or what?
eta: i just read his GQ interview. I guess it doesn't matter. but it seems like a lot of bs. I just don't like that he is being touted as the first out man to possibly receive a bunch of Grammies when he can't even address things clearly. Like oh I am so cool I don't need labels blah blah blah. which superficially may seem cool and what we are working towards, but more like bs to me. maybe if I liked his music I would have a different opinion. And maybe if I did not love Adam Lambert so much. Argh.
Is it anything like when Adam used to say bi-curious and you never know (when asked about girls) when he first came off idol and did interviews?

i am slow this morning. How did Linda Perry get here? I was thinking too that Justin Hawkins may potentially be a reference to Adam writing some music with him (and more rock leaning, which would be nice), but why would that have anything to do with Linda Perry? Sending a loaded smile and an inquiring mind. Sorry! I shouldn't have assumed that everyone is on twitter or that they follow some of the same people I follow. Linda Perry and Justin Hawkins were together last night. She tweeted a photo of them and said they were a "good team." linda perry@RealLindaPerryI have to say @JustinHawkins and I make a swell team.. During this slow time, some of us might go to MTV and give some of Adam's vids some views. His DIVA performance numbers are so low--and he was so good. The tribute to Donna Summers only has 82 views. His other vids from that night are low, too.

There was an interview at one point where he mentioned that at first he didn't understand the lyrics then realized the song was very ironic. Just wanted to share a curious conversation I heard on OWN this a.m. -- I was brushing my teeth and making tea and such so was half focused. In any case, there was a gentleman on that made a comment regarding recognizing as a youngster that one is gay. His statement was, "those that realize as a youngster that they are gay, grow up inherently dishonest". I didn't take the statement as accusitory but more like that one recognizes that he/she is different then what they have been exposed to and thus learn to keep it secret. I don't know, this really startled me. I've been exploring my reaction to it throughout the day and, for now, have come to realize that we all learn to keep secrets but how brave one must be to hold this secret. It's saddens me that with everything else there is to growing up that one's sexuality becomes an issue. Why can't it be a simple discovery such as how tall you'll be, or which hand you'll use to write with........I wonder if the world will ever get there? |
