FYI: I recently talked to my "go-to" expert on Adam vocals, Angelina. I told her of the theory several peeps have put forth of Runnin being too difficult to sing live because of the range from very low to very high. She scoffed at the idea and said that of course he could sing it live if he wanted to. So, I guess he just doesn't think it "fits" with the other music. Or something. Most singers have trouble singing low live in popular music. Sometimes it's projection issues over a loud band, sometimes it's the shift in gear that comes with dropping the larynx suddenly when the rest of the song is high, yadda yadda. I don't think Adam could do the low parts of Runnin' like in the studio version live, based on how he handles the low parts of Shady and Pop that Lock live. Both of those songs suffer live because of it imo and if he did the Runnin' verses up an octave that song would lose so much of its character. I'm happily open to be proven wrong though!!! ETA: I think if he went all out he could do CLYG though even though that song is basically impossible to sing

I think the vocal gymnastics in Runnin are right up Adam's alley. I just feel that Adam doesn't consider it to be one of the songs that fit the show right now. After all he made it a bonus track. I believe he'll sing it one day because of its popularity with fans. If he can sing Underneath live Runnin is no problem live!

I read this article and a comment in the comments section about Christopher Cross intrigued me. They said, he did well until he put his picture on his second album that showed his face. He was fat and bald. They said all these beautiful songs he wrote that intrigued women, but once they saw him, ran away. Well I went and looked up Christopher Cross. he wrote and sang "Sailing" and "Arthur's theme" the theme from the movie Arthur. I actually liked these songs, but never put the face with the songs. But he is still performing today and traveling all over the world. Talent lives on. Adam will live on. On the shallow end Adam is gorgeous, which is a major asset. Could you imagine if Adam were bald, fat and gay? where would his career be? Strange. I was an MTV teen when Christopher Cross was a hitmaker and I think I always knew what he looked like. He had videos for his big songs and he performed live on talk shows, awards shows, etc. I never expected him to be a heartthrob, but his music was everywhere and I could have sworn that lasted past his first album. Hmm, just checked. His second album only went gold after first one went 5x platinum. However, he won an Oscar and had number 1 singles from second album. Sometimes looks can work against an artist when they're struggling to be taken seriously. Interesting about Weiss and FO. Yeah, you do have to wonder how things would have gone had he not left RCA. :\

I am also been waiting for this song (as well as Can't Let You Go). At the last twitter party Adam was asked about Runnin' QUESTION: @cazglambert_ Why haven't you ever sang runnin live???? ADAM: cuz I haven't felt like it. #fulldisclosure Read more: atop.proboards.com/thread/1580/back-20x24-photos-twitter-party?page=1#ixzz2KVxLnZd8If I understood correctly, his mood simply much better than in this song LOL. And thank God, I think. This explanation is quite enough for me, I calmed down about all the loved ones, but sad songs. Let's listen to the recording :D. so glad to hear hehe, now I just need sit back and assume that any song, as long as he can do it in recording he can do it live too #Alienadamfromplanetfirece Adam, please do feel like singing both Runnin and CLYG

I think it was the same situation with Pick U Up. He did do it once in soundcheck I think and they apparently thought about adding it to GNT, if not permanently at least occasionally. Not to be redundant for those that heard me say this before but I did ask him about it at my (one & only) M&G. He said "they" had discussed performing it. Sadly nothing ever came of that. I say "sadly" because I loved the song and still do. It's very hard for me to have a relevant opinion on where Adam is right now in the pop music world. I'm too entrenched in the bubble and there's no way I'd be able to look at it from the outside. I was stunned to read a tweet from someone who said they met him at a party but didn't know who he was - never heard of him. There ARE actually people who have never heard of Adam Lambert! Go figure!

Go figure! yup, I encounter these people quite often... but they are not people in the "industry" and are not invited to the parties attended by Adam... so, in that sense it is surprising... (I want to say that in general, if you tune out pop culture - you would not know any of the names. I successfully avoided all the noise until Adam...more than that - now, after 4 years of "catching up" I feel I did not miss much at all...as you said, go figure...)
