I think it was the same situation with Pick U Up. He did do it once in soundcheck I think and they apparently thought about adding it to GNT, if not permanently at least occasionally. Not to be redundant for those that heard me say this before but I did ask him about it at my (one & only) M&G. He said "they" had discussed performing it. Sadly nothing ever came of that. I say "sadly" because I loved the song and still do. It's very hard for me to have a relevant opinion on where Adam is right now in the pop music world. I'm too entrenched in the bubble and there's no way I'd be able to look at it from the outside. I was stunned to read a tweet from someone who said they met him at a party but didn't know who he was - never heard of him. There ARE actually people who have never heard of Adam Lambert! Go figure! yup, I encounter these people quite often... but they people are not in the "industry" and are not invited to the parties attended by Adam... so, in that sense it is surprising... (I want to say that in general, if you tune out pop culture - you would not know any of the names. I successively avoided all the noise until Adam...more than that - now, after 4 years of "catching up" I feel that I did not miss much at all...as you said, go figure...) Yeah, and living/working in Hollywood. That makes no sense to me. During Idol, he was talked about on every morning radio program every week and people in general just "know" what's going on when you're in area (at least to be conversational). Even if you don't do anything close to the industry, you can't help but bump up against people who are in it all the time. Unless you read nothing, listen only to NPR and watch PBS (or have no media contact at all), I can sort of imagine, but even then ... what do you talk to people about? I can't imagine that. I'd feel like an idiot. It's bad enough when you're in a social situation and people are rattling off names of filmmakers and TV producers, etc. that you have no clue about. You kind of just nod and smile and think, "Dayum, I need to keep up on this stuff more ..."

I see Adam is photo No. 11 as a snub....nice acknowledgement and write-up I am also surprised that Fun got an Album of The Year. It only got a 60 metacritic score and didn't even get a great user score on that same site. When an album gets a nomination for Album of The Year, do the voters only listen to a couple of songs? That doesn't seem right. ETA: A couple of people on my feed didn't buy that "too much pop competition" line and you know, they are right. How can it be too much pop competition when he wasn't allowed to compete? They rarely played his music on the radio. Look at how much the people who actually listened to the album liked it (critics, bloggers, People mag, etc.).
