I've made it long time ago, the title is "No heart without thorns" and I think today is appropriate time to share this picture with you all. I think we all love Adam whole-heartedly but our hearts are not naive and undamaged, our hearts are very different from each other, we have different love experience - our hearts have thorns, we defend our vision of love using this thorns - we are overinvested, underivested, in the middle. Sometimes we can't find a common ground because our thorns are to long and sharp. But guys even if it hurts and we all are bleeding Adam is our common ground. So happy Valentine's Day from me. Nonchallance: That is a beautiful piece of art and a beautiful post. Thank you!

Went to bed happy last night to the most beautiful sight of twinkling eyes and wonderful, joy-filled smiles. I smiled today every time I thought of the photo Adam and Sauli shared with us. One of the sweetest Valentine's gifts ever!

Some of us were concerned that Sauli wasn't with Adam at Raja's event but it seems he was sick.

Hoppers... IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[smiles ruefully] I can't be here as much as I used to. My job responsibilities changed, and my ability to pop in while experiments were running vanished. Now on a design team which never takes a break. The work is really totally cool, but nonstop. Plus, I get home and there's now homework (!) and music lessons and a bazillion other things (why oh why did I let myself get volunteered to run the science fair??!!??!!??!!) By the time I can get onto ATOP, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard. But I **do** come whenever I can! Its just not as frequently as before. [grins] Doesn't mean I don't still love y'all!!!!! :D

Korean concert is selling well -- looks like about 195 (I did not count) standing tickets left.

And then Q3 calls me, and I'm fighting rush hour traffic and making absolutely no sense because I can't talk and dodge idiots in Hummers trying to broadside me at the same time. Sorry bb!!!!!!

Oh sweetie! [laughs and hugs at the same time] This is *so* funny b/c the word "homie" is SUCH an American slang phrase, that I never considered how badly it could be misconstrued by someone whose first language isn't English!! The word "homie" makes absolutely no sense unless you know that it comes from the urban phrase "homeboy", which also makes no sense if one isn't familiar with the concept of the urban "hood" (aka neighborhood) from which "boy from my home turf" arises! [grins wryly] Its actually a bit of a gang term that's been assimilated into common usage. Sometimes a common term is utterly nonsensical unless you know the history behind it. [snorts] Not understanding slang expressions is a two-way street though, and it often also makes no sense when foreign phrases are attempted to be turned into English. Being an American, I had to get someone to explain to me the other day what on earth "blaming the Shin-Gimmel" meant in Israeli politics. Its actually kinda funny, in an ironic way. Pretty good explanation here: forward.com/articles/170634/lowliest-guards-on-the-israeli-totem-pole/ May use it myself in the future. [tries to engage at least one more cylinder to the one currently working] [operation fails. the only one working dies a sad death, too] So Adam wanted to say that they live together? [laughs] No. A "homeboy" is a friend. A really tight-knit, down-to-the-bone friend. "Homies" is a shoutout to people considered good friends. Which was totally appropriate for that tweet!

Lulu - thinking of you as you think about your friend today. I hope her daughter has grown up into a wonderful young woman, with faith that her mother loved her and desired nothing greater than to protect her.
