Adam has used the word freak in....how many songs? Do you feel bad when he sings, "yeah, im a freak", or "where freaks like us can meet"? No. Cause he owns it with pride. He doesn't want to be normal. Like he said in that Equity award. I love when he calls himself a freak, and if his tatoo says that I think it's great. It represents who he is, just like all his tattoos. Exactly! He's always meant it that way. This time it wouldn't mean a different thing, and in no way it would mean something self-deprecating! So no worries!  |

Okay, I thought I've done enough damage today with the dildo talk, but no... Here's more: All websites say that point down triangle represents feminine energy. ( of elements: water and fire). Lusus Naturae means a freak, a monster, leviathan... Combined together... well, I don't have to spell it out. This tat makes me sad. Hell, no! Don't be sad!!  He is embracing his uniqueness! Like I said above, his voice alone makes him a freak of nature! Seriously! His perfect large chest to hold the lungs that make his breathing, while singing so effortless! C'mon, his huge GB! His bravery in being out from the beginning! So many freaky things about him! He would never choose to be normal or ordinary! NEVAH!!
I see freak as both a positive and negative word. I am choosing to use all the positivity about it! For me, Adam's use of the Latin word for freak = fierce and unique ETA: I don't think Adam needs to explain anything about these words. Besides, we know he won't. "Interpret it as you wish," is what he likes to say! I interpret it as "Damn, I am the fiercest thing around! Ain't no one like me!"The dictionary I use tells that synonyms to "freak" are: |
