To add to the completely OT, I saw this guy a couple weeks ago. And to think there are only four strings he's playing.

I know, Nica, gets to me too. But the reality is, there is an awful lot of folks who do judge or have their mind so made up that if they come around to stop judging, we are actually already making progress. It was not exactly clear from the text who is saying what. The way I read it, this lady writing on the blog or newsletter is saying this sentence, not Kris' mom, who actually met Adam and I presume got quite a bit further in her thinking than that, no matter at what point she started out prior to the competition. The reason I am assuming that is because Leila and Kim actually got along really well and if 'it's not my place to judge' were all she could get herself to say or think in this matter, I don't think Leila would have put up with that and become that friendly with her. Leila was friendly with Kris' folks, but not so much with Danny's. There was a difference in acceptance and Neil did shine a light on that on occasion.
So, therefore I understand this to be that newsletter lady writing that sentence.
If I read and interpret this right, this is written for some local newsletter, somewhere in Arkansas. This person is probably writing for an audience, where 'don't judge' is already progress. Sadz, but true.

I usually stay away from the Adam vs. other singers but Adam Levine?!?!? Perhaps it was just someone who did not like Adam's voice? Or musical style? Here is Mr. Levine singing....and if someone prefers him all I can say is, perhaps hearing aids would be helpful. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqjqrBR5X-Q What's wrong with it? :-S

At press conference ,he was asked to use one word describing divas,Kesha is Funny ,Katy is adorable,Rihanna is sexy
Note: not one comment about their singing/performing talent. Hmmmm.. As to Adam not-Lambert, lots of pitch problems and uneven switching from chest voice to a weak falsetto... and I could go on. But, honestly, he is no worse than many other pop singers today. Adam Lambert is the outlier. He's the one that doesn't "fit" with the current type of voice that is playing on the radio. Can you name me even ONE male singer popular today who has a really good voice? Not at AFL's level, of course. But, just a good voice, a voice that is better than anyone in your local high school or church choir. I'm coming up blank. That was what really pi$$ed me off about the WGWG singing the NA that I posted yesterday. NONE of them sounded great. I wouldn't even go as far as to say they sounded "good." The sponsors could have gone to any local high school in the town and asked for a singer from their music department, and gotten a better rendition. No, I am not holding the WGWG or the pop singers today to AFL's standard. That is unreasonable. But, shouldn't they at least be better than who you can find singing in the lounge of the local Holiday Inn for happy hour? I have to agree with everything you say. No, I cannot name ONE male singer popular singer today who has a really good voice (at least that I like). I know there are a lot of Bruno Mars fans on here, but he always sounds like he's straining to me. Also not a Matt Bellamy fan. And as for the talent on AI. I heard guy singing in my brother's church who sounds way better than any male on Idol, except for Adam. I asked my brother if he was a professional singer, and he said no. At my nephew's high school graduation, there was a girl singing who blew me away. Easily better than any girl I've seen on Idol, except for maybe Kelly Clarkson, but she would give her a good run for her money. My niece knew the girl and said she's just known for being the great singer at her school, but it's not like she had talent scouts chasing after her or anything.

A weibo post from one of the interviewers at yesterday's press conf:"Ahhh, my 2nd time interview with Dang Dang! He's really polite, modest and easygoing. 1. asked if he liked the name "Lord Dang", he said it sounded good but he's only "Dang" not "Lord"; 2. album #3 is still under wraps, can't really talk about it; 3. Adam in person simply looks amazing!! his facial structure is just so perfect! I'm still mesmerized by it..."
