GUYS THE FACT THAT ADAM'S CONCERT IS BEING "WATCHED" OR WHATEVER IN RUSSIA, THE SAME THING THAT HAPPENED TO, OH WEE LITTLE ACTS SUCH AS MADONNA AND LADY GAGA, IS KINDA AWESOME. OK YEAH THE GAY DISCRIMINATORY BLAH BLAH CRAP IS LAAAAME AND ALWAYS WILL BE, BUT HE'S CONTROVERSIAL! HE'S EXCITING! PEOPLE WILL TALK AND WONDER "WHO IS THIS GUY THAT'S SO ~DANGEROUS?" AND PROBABLY CHECK HIM OUT. PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS BE FASCINATED BY THE "FORBIDDEN" AND IF THEIR GOVT TRIES TO TELL THEM ADAM IS BAD OR SOME OTHER BULLSHIT THAT WILL JUST MAKE THEM SEEK HIM OUT MORE. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU ALL DONE SOMETHING SIMPLY BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD YOU NOT TO OR YOU COULDN'T? PLUS TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION--THE ONES WHOSE MINDS ARE ALREADY MORE OPEN THAN THEIR PARENTS--HAVING HIM BE SEEN AS THIS "THREAT" PROBABLY INCREASES HIS COOL/EDGINESS FACTOR.

These are different countries with different laws. It's against the law to be gay and exhibit anything gay that promotes gay. He could be arrested. Erm he is NOT going to get arrested. He wouldn't have been BOOKED there if that was the case. Adam is very culturaly aware and respectful anyways, he probably will do the show as he's been doing it all along. Oh its possible he'll do something as a little EFF YOU with a wink and a smile but not enough to get arrested. Come on now. You can't have it both ways. You want him to be an INTERNATIONAL STAR? Well the world is not perfect. It's totally fucked up, but the fact that Adam even CAN play these paces that have such stupid views is something to be celebrated. He IS TRESPASSING. He is living his mission statement and all sorts of cheesy crap. LOL. Progress can be slow and asses are gonna ass, but in the end he will have the last laugh. I am so not gonna worry about this. And if he should get arrested lol then it'll be a crazy press cycle and we can make awesome FREE LAMBERT t-shirts and protest and shit. |

Have you read about the music group that was arrested and incarcerated in Russia? Russia and USA nt on good terms at the moment, anything could happen. I would hope the promoter and management would not put him in that type of situation and would do everything to protect him. Elton John has drawn massive crowds in these countries, but Adam's show is quite different. If they film and find violations, anything could happen. Sorry to be dramatic but too much is going on in that part of the world re homosexuality, and other politics. I follow it very closely. I'll shut my mouth now. |

So, do we have any other options out there??? I feel all weepy... Since I have only one picture in Photobucket (my avi) I am the last one to recommend an alternative, but here is a site that reviews their top 20 choices - certainly a starting point... They were not arrested during a booked performance, it was a PROTEST.... plain and simple. |
