Adam will be fine. I don't think they will arrest somebody they officially invited for these concerts and gave visa clearance with that knowledge. Even in the unlikely situation that they arrest him, then he is in separate situation like all the Americans that were arrested during any LGBT protest events there, i.e. Dan Choi, who got arrested that same day that Adam had his Maxidrom concert in Moscow. Btw I still believe the Russians purposely and very suddenly added him to that concert up for that day, so that in their mind there would be many gay people torn which event to got to, the protest or the AL concert. Adam's portion of the concert was exactly during that protest time. Little did they know that most people showing up to the AL concert were not necessarily the gay crowd, but any average mostly straight young educated crowd in Moscow. So their plan did not quite work as planned, which of course was good. But anyhow, Dan Choi got arrested that day together with a few other Americans. He and all foreigners were held separately from the normal arrested folks, treated decently and released within very short time. The Russians that were arrested at the same event had a much harder time.
So, while I certainly hope all goes well, I certainly think that Adam will overall be safe, even if something escalates. Adam is a rock star, he is a risk taker and he knows what he stands for and while I think he will tone it down like in Jakarta and other places, I don't think that he is not going to stand up for what he believes in, and good for him. Don't we love him exactly because he has that courage and integrity to do so.
Does somebody have that exact quote from Adam? I can only paraphrase it: Being brave does not mean not knowing any fear. Being brave means staring that fear right in the face and then doing it your way anyhow. Would love to have the exact quote. Not sure whether it is from a tweet or an interview. Thanks

Adam is smart and he has managed his path with grace, dignity and without making major concessions. I trust him to charm everyone in Russia as he did in Indonesia and Malaysia.
That says it all for me..thanks, Q3! I'm not worried about Adam. His management would not have booked him or would have cancelled if the political situation was too volatile. These concerts will be fantastic!

Anyone from the US should be very slow to condemn any other country over gay rights. In 2003 when the US Supreme Court ruled on Lawrence v. Texas -- Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah and Virginia — still banned consensual sodomy without respect to the sex of those involved, and four—Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri — prohibited same-sex couples from engaging in anal and oral sex. We live is a very big glass house here. Adam is smart and he has managed his path with grace, dignity and without making major concessions. I trust him to charm everyone in Russia as he did in Indonesia and Malaysia. So true! I have been quite taken aback today by people so worried about Adam in Russia. I think Adam is smart and his management is smart. I have to ask those so worried, would you want him to not perform for his fans there? Obviously, by the sizes of the venues, he has quite a few. And what about Malaysia during GN or Singapore last week? We stan a man that doesn't shrink away from who he is. It is one of the things I love about him.

From Jakarta, I don't know what the "Yuk" refers to? Maybe just some Indonesian word that doesn't really translate into English. Intip Konser Adam Lambert, Yuk!
I think Google just don't understand "Yuk". It's not really a formal word, it's somekind of an friendly invitation. So the real translation would be "Let's Peek at the Adam Lambert Concert or Come See the Adam Lambert Concert"

And also, US schools in many locations side with the bully rather than the victim. Some out of convenience, but in many cases, especially where there is orientation related bullying going on, they legally have their hands tied. i.e. Tennessee ' Don't say Gay' bill. While it was stopped in its first version, the three-ring-circus in Tennessee is far from over. And this is 2013. www.nashvillescene.com/nashville/the-calendar-says-march-but-thanks-to-tennessees-legislature-its-mayday-for-lgbt-students/Content?oid=3320519

So.. Have they actually asked Adam's booking agent and that's the answer they get; or they just got that information floating around on the net. I remembered about this $500K number, in 2010 a couple of Russian concert organizer thought that they could bring Adam to Rusia with a fee of $80K. So when they contacted CAA, Adam's booking agent they found out that Adam's fee's $500K.

I think I have seen some of these pictures, but certainly not all of them: They are brilliant and definitely worth a closer look. Every one that is published here is great. They are from China. blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_6c9ecedb0101goar.html

The world is getting better for the LGBT community (and other historically opressed groups), but intolerance and bigotry are everywhere, even in countries that are supposedly advanced when it comes to LGBT rights. Look at my country! We have marriage equality and we are considered to be very tolerant and progressive towards LGBT people. And still our "dear" interior minister said a few days ago that gay marriage threatens the survival of the species. He must think all LGBT people are sterile or something. I wonder if he thinks that a childless heterosexual marriage also threatens the survival of the species. There are biggots and self-righteous assholes everywhere, unfortunately.

If the translation is correct, those comments about Freddie hiding his sexuality are rather ridiculous. The guy insulted Freddie, Brian, & Rodger, so Adam is in good company there. Seems like some of these old Queen fans are really fans of some mythological old band called Queen. I saw the article this morning and I got so annoyed that I decided not to bring it here. I haven't checked google translation but the original text was just horrible...and yes, it did say that Adam "flaunts" his sexuality and FM, although he was gay, kept it private.... other annoying stuff re Adam's rider... Yeah.. they forgot that there's a 20-30years gap between Freddie's time and Adam's time. At that time, Freddie couldn't bring his partner in public places, but he himself was very private person. If a 34young Freddie Mercury lives in 21st century. I bet you he's going to flaunts his sexuality and he's even going to do it crazier than Adam. As a Queen and Freddie's fan, IMO, Freddie was already sent a lot of hints to the world of who he was and he actually flaunted his sexuality, these people just didn't want to see... or they're in denial. At 16 and grew up in Asian's country and love Freddie very much, event my gaydar was working very well.. I knew it already that either he's bi or he's gay.

Erm he is NOT going to get arrested. He wouldn't have been BOOKED there if that was the case. Adam is very culturaly aware and respectful anyways, he probably will do the show as he's been doing it all along. Oh its possible he'll do something as a little EFF YOU with a wink and a smile but not enough to get arrested. Come on now. You can't have it both ways. You want him to be an INTERNATIONAL STAR? Well the world is not perfect. It's totally fucked up, but the fact that Adam even CAN play these paces that have such stupid views is something to be celebrated. He IS TRESPASSING. He is living his mission statement and all sorts of cheesy crap. LOL. Progress can be slow and asses are gonna ass, but in the end he will have the last laugh. I am so not gonna worry about this. And if he should get arrested lol then it'll be a crazy press cycle and we can make awesome FREE LAMBERT t-shirts and protest and shit. Could not agree with you more, Chunkey! He toned down the ass rubbing during Fever in both Singapore and Jakarta. I would expect the same in Russia and nothing else. The promoters know who they booked! Yep and he even left out the floor choreography during Fever in Jakarta. I was a bit worried about it, because I want him to keep on having his concerts in Jakarta. I know Adam will make some adjustment, he's smart.
