Just look at this picture and tell me why Adam chose these people to be his ensemble??? I've had my opinions about the
band, but I see vine vids on a train from Minsk, social cams from Keisha, hilarious tweets from Johnny, Adam SWIMMING
in the ocean with his two BFF's, shrieks for Tommy, yowsas for Ashley. kudos for Rick, people digging the dancing duo...
And these people LIKE each other. They can sit and wear goofy glasses on St. Paddy's or show up as total pros after
having no sleep and give it their all each concert.
Queen has spoken of how individual egos got in their way. Much arguing and separation at times, even though they were
friends. And yes, Queen is a band and Adam is a solo artist.
Adam has chosen to meet many needs without compromising his artistic integrity IMO. He has support, loyalty,
friendship and all kinds of goofy fun. I forget the long hours of travel and missing home and loved ones touring artists
have to experience. To know that your 'team' has your back means more to me personally than how 'exceptional'
the individual members of the band are. Same goes for the singers and dancers.
I'm eating my own past judgments here. I will miss this group when WAG ends..I really will..

Oh, thank you Vivlite for saying what's been in my heart!
I can't begin to imagine the band, the instrumentalists that would be Adam's 'equal' on stage. YoYo Ma, maybe? I think Eber asked for a cello, once. Adam is THE voice, THE performer. Even when I saw Adam with Queen, my eyes focused only on him.
Without knowing Adam from 'Adam', I venture to say he knows what he needs. Right now, as he's forging his way in a very judgmental, condescending world, Adam has surrounded himself with talented, inventive, self-confident, happy, adventurous people - friends - who are not afraid to be honest and joyful. Not afraid to share the spotlight. Grateful for the spotlight.
We've all seen how 'stars' fall apart; shatter and combust. Maybe they realize they are not as unique, as artistically creative, unusual, gifted, as they or their fans had hoped. It's so hard to live up to unreal expectations.
Adam is different. He knows it. He does not need others to showcase or expand his talent. Right now, IMO, he needs others to support him on stage, and then join him to decompress after the accolades; after the thrill; after the applause. He needs a home on the road, and these wonderful musicians, singers, and dancers provide the friendship, fun, realness, and grounding that finds focus, delight, celebration, love, and excellence even when everyone just wishes for a good night's sleep.
Right now, Adam needs a family of friends to surround him; more than extraterrestrial talent. His talent encompasses the stage. His troupe supports him; and he supports them. The infinity symbol is not just for the audience; the give and take is apparent with his crew as well. In the end, we get what we give; Adam knows and understands his stage and the naked community who share the proscenium, and how it will become more expansive as time goes by. For now, I believe he has chosen wisely. What he needs is much more than what is provided in the dressing room before the show. More than hors d'oeuvres and milk. He's created family; and they will nurture and shelter and support one another through the litany of unknown, foreign places.
Every show we see is testament to the choices Adam has made. This man knows what he is doing, and I feel nothing but amazement as I imagine his future, and ours.
