Winner of four octave voice, a famous singer Adam Lambert arrives in Kiev. Yesterday at 14:30 flight from Moscow landed at the airport Borispol.
There's an American hunk was waiting crowd of fans. In the hands of a girl holding posters of the singer. Flamboyant singer hid behind sunglasses and a large hood. But surrendered to pressure from fans. Autographs, received gifts and flowers.

Note, Adam Lambert became famous as one of the few stars who are open about their homosexuality. But it doesn't stop the singer's real fans. They say they also prefer boys.

I find it interesting that the article is written in Russian but the naration is in Ukranian...Ukraine has an identity issue. The official language after the Soviet Union fell apart was designated as Ukrainian. However, since much of Ukraine was russified, you have many people speaking Russian in eastern Ukraine and Ukrainian in western Ukraine. This infuriates the older Ukrainians, but the youth are caught between learning Ukrainian in school, speaking Russian at home and now English is taught as a second language in all the schools. Even though Ukrainian is the official language you will find stuff still written in Russian, but all offical government documents are in Ukrainian. So until there is a big push for Ukrainian to be truly the official language you will find this type of thing happening. I am a first generation Ukrainian and also adopted 2 children from Ukraine and have witnessed the identity issue in Ukraine. Russia also wants to keep Ukraine under it's thumb, as Ukraine has the richest most fertile soil for agriculture, has minerals and provides Russian with an outlet to the Mediteranean Sea from the Black Sea throught the straights of Bosporus and Dardenelles. It's a precarious situation. The current president is also pro-Russia. The politics is a very deep seated issue as Stalin murdered and starved at least 5-10 million Ukrainians, one of which was my grandfather on my mother's side. My mother also spent 10 years in Siberia for her father's political dissidence. |

I want to chime in on the band discussion. For me it was when I felt the power of WWTLF that I realized that a band can create something just as powerful as Adam's vocals and interpretation. Those last handful of notes when the singing is over and Brian is continuing the emotion with such beauty. It is a real piece of art where the vocalist and the musicians work as one to create something bigger than the parts. That's when I saw that Adam is really deserving of top musicians to match his skills.
But I don't think it is a playing of the notes or a computer vs live issue. I think it is in the creation of the notes. Others could replicate the guitar playing in WWTLF to a satisfactory level but it takes a true musical artist to know what to play to in the first place. Adam writes music and he does show depth but he is not an instrumentalist, let alone a top one. Are the co-writters? Are the guys who run the electronical "instruments"?
And while it would be nice, I don't think it is time to mesh that is needed. Adam is able to bring it to the fullest regardless of relationships and skilled instrumental writer is still a skilled instrumental writer. He messed with Queen and Chic quite quickly actually.
I don't know anything about how it works but it seems to me to be a part of a band means commiting the future to each other. Adam somewhat learned a lesson in people whose direction and loyalty can change. But why can't a brillant musician be worked with for a shorter time? Aren't their any around that would write songs with Adam?
What I do know is that Adam is the pinnacle of talent. When he is on stage all you know is what he does to you with his voice, and that is enough. But when he has others at that level, it shows. Imagine if he had this kind of collaboration so the music also took you places. The combination would surely be mindblowing.
