Adam is going to be at the Life Ball

Yesterday, Adam accidently let this slip out from Facebook, “Doingsome recording and prep interviews etc for www.lifeball.org here in Viennatomorrow. So excited to be a part of this extravagant event!!! Who's coming thisyear?! May 25th!” It took about 1-2-3 seconds for Twitter ninja to find it andsend it all across the Twitterverse and the Web.

The Life Ball is a huge international event. Last year theevent featured performances by the Scissor Sisters, Gloria Estefan, and outactor Cheyenne Jackson. Bill Clinton and poet Maya Angelou will give speechesas well. A fashion show organized by Vogue Italia isalso on the agenda. There was also a concert the night before the Ball.

Sad news

A very dear friend of this forum has left us – Mayumi’s husband Rene. Because I was lucky enough to get to know Rene, and so many members of this forum know Mayumi and Rene, I am posting this message from Cassie on page 1. <3 from "Cutie".

Mayumi's husband, long-time best friend, fellow Adam-fan, and gentle, kind help-mate passed away Saturday, March 23, at about 9:30 PM. He was at home, surrounded by family loving him, saying good-bye, and praying the rosary. Many AToppers have met Mayumi and Rene through Adam and enjoyed their hospitality, joy, and generosity. They are in our thoughts and prayers.

As of yet, we do not have any details about final arrangements. We will post them in the member news thread when they become available.

One final, heart-warming Rene story. He was so excited about his Christmas gift for Mayumi. He put such thought into it, and knew it would be perfect. He bought her deluxe, fancy binoculars so that she could see Adam up close and personal at the next concert they attended together. And, Adam's GNT and Idol journeys were among the last videos Rene watched before his stroke.

Light and love on your journey, Rene.
