YW, cheriemelissa! My pleasure! This clip is from season 1 of the show which was in 2009..... so he wouldn't have had a hit song and FYE would either not have been released yet or was just released. Thanks for the clarification, geezlouise. I seem to recall Adam saying in some interview that he kinda liked this show. Anyone? , so sorry I was in a hurry last night and didn't response to your post. I found this interview where he says he likes the show. By rorybelevePublished on Jun 4, 2012 Adam Lambert did an interview with MTV News and said that 1 Girl 5 Gays is his favorite reality show and that he wants to be on it. |

savvy92, that's exactly what is says "so excited that he could hardly stay in his pants". We also use another metaphor for that: 'doesn't stay in his skin'. Both literal translations, of course, and remotely refer to itchiness when you can't help yourself and just have to scratch.
Replace the metaphor with one of your own that desribes a person that is not calm in any way but so excited that he cannot stay still, is perhaps jumping up and down or is gushing about his story and flailing when telling it.
Maybe you would say: 'he was bursting with excitement'? - although to me that sounds a bit calmer than the original - or maybe the idea of not being able to stay still is included in 'bursting'?
