Since you hit the quote button on my post, I can only assume you are talking to me and I find your comments offensive. If you intend to make a general statement, hit the reply button and make a general statement. You are right I was pretty ambiguous so let me clarify and move on. I quoted you, specifically, because your response to this conversation was that you couldn't make yourself worry about this because there are dying children in the world and such. That sounds pretty dismissive and condescending to me.... Then somehow it turns into defending his successes. Maybe you were just dismissing Adam's feelings as trivial, rather than my concern about his feelings, idk. But again, I appologize I took your words the wrong way. As a general statement I was saying that it seems like when someone makes a statement that isn't fluff or shooting rainbows then they are accused of "angsting", bringing the fandom down, or being unloyal to Adam. Adam's twitter conversation was never discussed until today and I have a hunch it is because people were worried about bringing up a subject that some would perceive as less than happy, even though Adam himself started the conversation and it seems to be a recuring theme with him. I am sorry if none of this describes you (I honestly have little recollection of who has ever said what in the past) but it felt like this was a very relevant discussion that some would rather not have had. And I don't get that.

Miles Tougeaux @milestougeaux 3m
@adamlambert Press calls you flamboyant singer instead of openly gay singer now. Next year I guessing it'll be impetuous. Or polychromatic.

What happens if it rains? I assume it's an outdoor event in town near the river where they hold they're baseball games. IDK ANyone else beside Q3 who might be thinking of going to Pittsburgh? ME! I live in Milwaukee, but can drive to Cleveland, visit my mom who lives there, then drive on to Pittsburgh. Only a few hours away I think. Glamberts. Hook me up!! I would love to share a ride, meet up, whatevah!

Hi, delurking to say Pittsburgh Pride is literally right outside my loft--has been since its inception. (Watch them change it this year.) Anyway, I'm excited, to say the least. Glamnation never came to Pittsburgh. How far is it from the airport and is there any parking? I just rented a car. Anyone else coming in midday Saturday and want to share? About 20-25 minutes from the airport. The usual parking garages and lots; it's the heart of the city.

I suggest those of you going to Pittsburgh head on over to the Members Only Section where there is a Meet Up thread for you to find out who else is going and make plans

So, I just dropped by the newly created Pittsburgh thread, thank you Tinafea, but it is still quite dead there and all the planning is still happening here. Anyhow, wanted to remind folks that the thread has been created and hotel/travel/logistics, etc. can happen there.
Welcome Cat!!! Glad to have you on board! Wow, so you can watch the concert from your apartment? Are you serious? Congratulations. I would also like to have Adam serenade me under my bedroom window, but I don't think he is planning to do that for me. I think that is a new one in the fandom. We have fans who have been kissed, hugged, climbed over and scribed upon. But your situation is pretty special, I must say.
Anyhow, please swing by the Pittsburgh thread, because I am sure you can help us with all our local questions, as we go and plan our trips.
And now I need to go back and read a ton of posts that looked mighty interesting, but I skipped them, once I read about Pittsburgh.
And yeah to Glaad award! Yes, the gay community is finally coming around and seeing what we have been seeing all along. What took them so long? I think it was that the more traditional wing in the gay community is always afraid that the 'out there' wing of the community will embarrass them. And really it is that more left field wing that has been the catalyst to all the changes that in the end the whole community is benefiting from. I have not read that book, The Velvet Rage and some of you here were talking about, but I am pretty sure that the overly critical evaluations that seem to be a mainstay within the gay community on so many level (physical appearance, personal style, opinions, etc) are ultimately also the result of a group living with the pressures and stresses of constant rejection and judgement. It's all connected.
ETA: Tinafea, our posts crossed paths. Thanks for your help.

What I got from that sign my yearbook exchange was sarcasm. Guess we all interpret from our own life experiences. Makes for a lot of conversation, tho. Welcome back! Thank you. :-)
