AI next week..Burt Bacharach?? glory...well, if they uptempo it, might just sound a lot like Rock Week..  Orianthi...what a treat to see her again! And thank you Lyndsey Parker for posting the vids so I don't have to watch 2 hours of torture...think a girl is gonna win????  |

holst, great link. I'd have to go for The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance myself. Don't see any connection between AFL and Tom Jones. Adam is in a different realm. But, I do think Gene Pitney's voice is beautiful . . . anyone remember 'Town Without Pity'? And, when listening to the video provided by Juniemoon, and watching the gif of Adam licking the microphone to the beat of 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence', well . . . like I said, Tom Jones just flew out the window. BTW - anyone who never saw the movie of the same name should take the time. |

I guess what I don't understand about a show that is trying to find a current artist has theme weeks that are totally entrenched in the past, past....thought the suggestion about a P!NK week was superb. Now I love music from the past..have tons of it, but you gotta switch it up sometime. I'd like to see this year's contestants do a 'Justin Bieber's Greatest Hits' week...  Taylor Swift? Marilyn Manson?  All 3 together!!! YES! With KISS on backup geetars...woah..I'd watch that. Each contestant sings one song from each artist to show their diversity and grit. And some pyro. Lots of pyro. And crepe paper streamers... (It's not the kids' faults..the producers ought to be fired. And the judges..all but Keith Urban. He is one observant and insightful man, even if he has a shoe fetish..  Even Ryan Seacrest looks bored out of his gourd.) Any other ideas for theme weeks since there isn't any other news? What would Adam suggest? (That ought to keep me out of trouble..  ) |
