I can't see him being on Idol without a song to promote. MAYBE RCA WILL FINALLY LET THE WORLD HEAR CUCKOO! (nah, they are idiots!) Well, he sang Aftermath. Although I suppose they kinda-sorta released the song as an adjunct to the EP. Still, isn't May still a little too early for a new single? No, May is not too early for 2 reasons. 1) Adam's songs rise on the radio slowly or 2) They might do 2 singles before the album, which I expect out during the Fall (after Oct 1st)

Do we know Adam is going to be on AI?

I am sad for the boy's parting, but I wonder if in some ways they are too much alike. Strong, independent and some ways driven to succeed. This sums it up for me!

Options for Idol
1. New single (please, please, please!!!) 2. Song related to Trevor Project - OOL, Underneath 3. Any song from Trespassing era (wouldn't mind Running personally) 4. A new or previously sung cover from tour? Doubt.
Anything else?

They have had 2 past Idols on every Thurs. & they do a background of what they've been doing since their season. Then they sing a song.

On the lighter side, Wish I was a gay man! (Oh, and 20 years younger! LOL!) Heh heh. You made me log in to share my lighter side thought. Now maybe he'll have time for a burrito. On a more serious note, I'm sad they split but since I never believed they'd be together for the next 50 years, I'm not angsting like the rest of the fandom. I only worried how he'd extricate himself from a relationship he'd made so public. I'd wager to say when he meets the one he thinks is for a lifetime, he'll keep it closer to the vest. Just my thoughts on the matter and we all know the lunacy of a burrito.

We all believe in "freedom of speech" and our BB, Adam, is certainly an advocate for that. But living that philosophy sometimes means defending another's right to say something we think is terribly wrong, offensive, in direct opposition to our own beliefs and opinions, or mind-numbingly ignorant.
As a mod I have the "power" to delete or edit any posts on the forum. A day like today taxes my self control, as there were a few comments that had smoke coming out of my ears and daggers trying to shoot out my fingertips into the computer. I applaud all AToppers who have kept the discussion "lively" yet still civil. I admire the ability that many here have to feel grief, and yet, still keep an open mind and heart, acknowledging that we do not, and should not have all the details to make a judgment on either Sauli or Adam.
As a member of ATop and a passionate Adam fan, count me among those who believe Adam and Sauli's personal relationship is no one else's frickin' business. I have been through my share of failed relationships (who hasn't) and worrying/wondering/fearing what family and close friends would say only made things more difficult. The last thing I want Adam or Sauli to do is to make relationship decisions based on what the fans and press might say, or what information they are entitled to, when, and how.
I thought that the way Adam shared the information about the end of their romantic relationship was mature, classy, and respectful. We joke about Adam writing an Adele or Swift break-up rant, but tho' that might be cathartic for the writer, it can be mean and hurtful. Adam took the high road. Good for him.
I wish both boys all the best.

I understand they are rather common this year.

It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Bullshit. I liked Adam so much better when he was with Sauli. I didn't have to look at pictures of drunk Adam in a bar surrounded by boys looking like a fool. Adam and Sauli together seemed to sparkle and shine and have so much fun. Always smiling and laughing. Adam turned into a businessman and seemed up for a real career. Alway involved, always working. He seemed so happy with someone to come home to. I sit here wondering how long it took Adam to finally admit that they were broken up. Things have been wrong for awhile and people seemed to know it, but nothing was said. It's like the release of the Trespassing album. Kinda ishy. I've always been Adam's fan but I fell in love with Sauli along the way. He was so good for Adam. The two of them jogging and drinking juice. What a pair walking hand in hand down on that red carpet. They brought me such joy. I am going to miss that. Adam is single again. Oh boy, can't wait for the pictures. I think I need another glass of wine and forget about Adam for several days.

On the lighter side, Wish I was a gay man! (Oh, and 20 years younger! LOL!) Hahaahaaa. And very true for some of us, including me, because I am, of course, a little in love with the man I am actually not surprised at all that Adam's relationship has ended. I think it's partly because of the way Adam has described himself - as being reasonably inexperienced in relationships for someone his age. Even though he is in his early thirties, in terms of deep relationship experience, he's probably in his early to mid-twenties. If that's true, and he is like so many of use at that stage of life, he may be exploring many relationships and quality of relationships, including ones that last for around a year or two, or maybe even less. Some of us do, but many of us do not, meet "the one" until a bit later on, when we know ourselves better and what we want better. I don't know very much about Sauli, because I've never really looked, but I've seen Adam's comfort in his skin deepen while he has been with Sauli, and I believe it has been because he has loved and been loved and accepted in return. Love is precious in all it's forms and no matter what the duration - it is never a failure.
