I have an associate who is a global media ratings expert, and he tells me that with rebroadcasts and online viewing, CMAs will reach about 400 million people, mostly in Asia.
For perspective, the 2013 Grammys had a US audience of 28.37 million.

@adamlambert Steams from China always have your vocal way high in the mix with almost no reverb. Good thing you sing on key. Just sayin...
Love Eber!
Awm Dadbert was watching his kid on live TV from China. He must be bursting with pride, and maybe just shaking his head that his little freckle-faced kid is such a global superstar. He noticed the mix, too. It is very unforgiving of ANY pitch problems. Not that it is a problem for our boy!I just watched the video and especially love the improvisations he did during Trespassing, and very specially when he's a head of the melody.. LOL. It shows to China that he performed it live Imagine for someone who needs to sing with the help of auto tune and have to perform on this kind mix... Idk, maybe singers in China doesn't use autotune, since I know they sing beautifully.

Allan Louis was part of The Zodiac Show and is a friend of Adam's. Among Adam fans, Allan is most famous for his shoulder pads (in video below). Allan is very talented, an amazing entainer and I have been lucky to see him live a couple of times. Beyond that I know nothing more than what he posted to describe his project. Here is a video of Allan with shoulder pads and Adam from The Zodiac Club: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkx7vE3GI-4

It seems that a lot of the feeds we see from China are dry - which only makes Adam's voice stand out from the other performers more. If that disparity in sound reaches more people, is *that* part of the reason why they're more appreciative of his abilities?

Man, I REALLY love his riffing. First song Trespassing - after his customary high note (ahem, how spoilt we are! :D) following "I ain't staying at home, no, no, no, no, no...", it sounds like he momentarily forgets the current arrangement for this performance. I think he starts singing "I was..." and stops himself before singing "walking for...", continuing with a bunch of ... syllables?... going around the melody that sounds absolutely fantastic. Dunno why I'm laughing delightedly and rewatching that part way past my bedtime. I think I need some serious help. You're not alone. I had to rewatching the two parts where he did his improves..

I just loved Adam's performance from CMA. Something about his relaxed, upbeat spirit shone thru. And he just looks so so so so happy! Also if you are looking for smilies like the cancansmileys -- don't forget to scroll to the right in the pop-up window!!
