funny, the fact that he is alone there, no band, no dancers, no nothing really - makes no difference to me... he can do it without the backing track either and be as fabulous as with all that hoopla around him...the voice in the end is a killer! It makes no difference to me either. I just love listening to and watching him. He's always amazing.

“Clearly, Adam Lambert was the highlight of the week," said Executive Director of Pride Ivan Cano. This year’s Miami Beach Gay Pride drew more than 75,000 people, almost doubling the attendance from its 2011 numbers. The fifth annual weeklong event featured Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower as grand marshal, a Pride parade, headlining acts Crystal Waters, Lady Bunny, and American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert as the main attraction. “Clearly, Adam Lambert was the highlight of the week. It was truly an honor to have such an A-lister want to be a part of our Pride. We had ‘Glamberts’ staking out their front-row positions at 8 a.m. that morning,” said Executive Director of Pride Ivan Cano “His press conference was packed with media and photographers. He was very gracious when he accepted the Key to the City of Miami Beach. He couldn’t have been nicer or more engaged with fans and our Board, our volunteers and our community leaders. He’s genuinely a nice guy.” Cano was excited about how well this year’s event was attended and how the festival continues to grow. In only five years the PrideFest has become one of the largest in the state, and it could soon rival St. Pete Pride, which attracts more than 100,000 attendees each year, for that title. “[This was] well over last year’s attendance of 60,000. Our Pride keeps getting bigger and more exciting every year!” Cano said. “I’m honestly moved by the faces I see at our Pride. We truly are a diverse and inclusive event for the whole community. From drag queens to party boys to lesbian couples to straight families to activist students, there is a place for everyone at Miami Beach Gay Pride. I sincerely can’t think of a more loud and colorful day on Miami Beach.” Cano said he taking a quick break but will be back to work on next year’s sixth annual Miami Beach Gay Pride in two weeks. “The hardest part of this job, and this Board, is that every year we have to reinvent Pride to be bigger and better than the year before. It’s quite a challenge to outdo yourself year-after-year. But I must say that in the five year lifespan of Miami Beach Gay Pride, we have definitely accomplished that.” He goes on to promise, or at least hint at, a possible big surprise for next year “But ask me again in a couple of months…there could be something earth-shattering to announce.” original link to article: southfloridagaynews.com/articles/adam-lambert-highlight-of-miami-beach-gay-pride/112626

buzzworthy.mtv.com/Adam Lambert's 'Then & Now' Photo Proves That Glam Doesn't AgePosted by Byron Flitsch Adam Lambert shared a glamouriffic "Then & Now" photo! Looking at this "Then & Now" photo of Adam Lambert totally has us narrating a glam fairy tale in our heads... something like (read in the voice of Morgan Freeman), "A long, long time ago (2002 to be exact), there lived a young boy named Adam Lambert. Unbeknownst to him, he was DESTINED to become the Prince Of Glam." Actually, Adam probably always knew that he would one day rule the Glamberg kingdom -- just look at his confident 22-year-old look! It totally screams, "I WIN AT EVERYTHING" and "Did anyone TiVo that new show "American Idol"? I want to take notes so I can DOMINATE it one day." The "Never Close Our Eyes" singer shared the photo on Instagram along with the caption, "9 years ago! Woah. (That's some bad yellow bleach)." First, we have to disagree with Adam on the bad bleach job -- need we remind him that it could have been waaay worse, like, "'90s boy band frosted tips" worse. Second, WE MUST HAVE Adam's moisturizing routine! Aside from his brighter hair and those earrings, Adam still looks exactly like he did in his early 20s! Apparently that's just another perk of having all that potent glam coursing through your veins (see also: the ability to nail every smize and give epic "neck porn" at any time) -- you NEVER age. I believe that pic is about 9 years old and from the second half of 2003. I think it is probably taken during his run with Hair, right before he drastically changed his appearance from apple pie to Rock Star. More about this transition in the Hair post: atop.proboards.com/thread/21/adam-lambert-timeline?scrollTo=4197&page=5

Completely OT so forgive me. But I had to post this pic from Earth Pics. I hiked 8 miles through this national park last Sept. So beautiful! Let's just say I'm posting it for Earth Day! PLITVICE NATIONAL PARK - CROATIAI heard that this was bombed in the war and devastated. It broke my heart as I visited there in 1972. Was it not bombed or has the government rightly restored this treasure? I think it was not bombed nor devastated. Not that I know of at least. Something horrible did happen there though. "Plitvice Bloody Easter" was an incident that took place in the early spring in 1991. in the National Park Plitvice in Croatia and is considered the first serious escalation of the conflict in the Yugoslav wars. Two police officers were killed in the incident, one at each side; they were the first victims of the civil war which arose in the ruins of Yugoslavia. Plitvice look as beautiful today as ever. Croatia is a beautiful country. PS/// I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring anyone down, especially with so much great Adam news around, but I thought it was important to say Plitvice hadn't been bombed. On the bright side (for me, at least), my 'post-istentialist' crisis seems to be over:)

Especially in Bosnia & parts of Croatia & Slovenia. Thanks Alex! I didn't know that!
