I'd like to share something that is another testimony to Adam's characters with y'all. I learned it from a weibo friend who'd had the privilege to attend the CMA rehearsal, where Adam eventually decided to cancel the backup dancers. One of the dancers has a personal connection to my friend. With my friend's permission, I'm here to relay the dancer's account. There were originally just 3 male dancers and they had been rehearsing all along in Shanghai (they're very good), then got to Macau on the 17th, found out the CMA had decided to add 3 more female dancers at the last minute. Unfortunately, those girl dancers were kinda subpar and the little time they had for rehearsing wasn't gonna help much, either. In the end, Adam decided not to use them for his CMA performance (I love that about him: clear vision of what he wants and how he should be represented), but unlike most of the big names they had danced for, Adam went to the dancers and thanked all of them profusely, and took pics with them as well. At one point, the dancers were a bit uncomfortable with his gratitude, 'cuz they're not used to it, especially with someone as big as Adam. The dancer friend said he would use Adam's music more often at his studio from now on, and proudly tell his students that he almost got to dance for Adam Lambert on the CMA! There you go, isn't he just a world class gentleman or what?!

Maddie
Thanks for sharing that story about the cancellation of the dancers. Certainly I wondered how it was handled...and also I was assuming they had to get paid for their efforts and practice time etc. Being from the chorus boy role himself...Adam had to know there would be disappointment for the dancers...in particular the three men. The dancer also was professional in that he shared the positive side of a disappointing situation.
Sad that the three guys who had invested the most were dealt a bad hand for this event. I checked out the one dancer that was tweeted about and I thought he was very talented. He can also strut a catwalk like nobody's business.

Maddie - Just giving you a YOU ARE SO FREAKING AWESOME shoutout for all you've been doing to bring us the China Adam info. I've been crazy lately getting ready for a Science Fair (why oh why did I agree to chair this??), but I keep sneaking back for the goodies that have been coming in from the other side of the world. And I truly appreciate all the translating and interpreting you've done. I would have never learned anything about fascinating Chinese opera characters, or would have understood the Rock flowers, or gotten the joke about intentionally bad photographers if it hadn't been for you. YOU ROCK!!! THANK YOU!!!

I don't think it was bombed - at least not the park itself. Some destruction still visible from the war though. Especially in Bosnia & parts of Croatia & Slovenia. Thanks Alex! I didn't know that! The other thing that broke my heart was the amazing and ancient bridge in Mostar. That bridge I know was bombed and I don't know if it was repaired. I remember walking across it to a market and buying a beautiful hand embroidered cloth from a lovely old lady. Happy memories of that trip to what was then Yugoslavia. So late here! But just had to say I LOVED Mostar! Here's one of my pics of the bridge.
