Oooh, and let's see...when Brian and Roger wanted someone to fill Freddie's very large shoes for those appearances in Europe, whom did they call? Didja notice your phone not ringing, Constantine? OH... How much I love this post!!

With Adam on the panel and one of the current bunch out, it would be a very different panel so IMO we can't be grateful he was not on Idol because the season 13 panel is considered subpar. Personally, I think Adam is about the most charming person around, and is also very kind and personable. I believe he would have brought out better qualities in the other judges, but who knows, all we can really say is that it would have been different. As for him taking up the offer to be on the finale, I imagine he will take it. He is an Idol fan as he has said many times. He also knows that it would be a great chance for lots of people to see him do his fantastic thing. WWFM would be a logical choice being his biggest hit, but he has already performed it on Idol, and that performance was phenomenal I must say. Would this matter or could he sing it again? The duet aspect would make it different. He would have been there instead of Randy. The humor between he and Keith would have brought the ladies right out of their Diva rivalry! I 100% agree, jean!!

I have no idea what he might do if he is on the finale. I think I'll wait for confirmation before I start thinking about that. But my question is this - If he IS on the finale will they still have his WATN package? I got a few opinions on twitter about this so I thought I'd see what you guys thought. He has been doing so many fascinating, impressive things and receiving recognition for his work with LGBTQ that I feel the "package" would be as important as any performance. Whaddya think? IMO, yes, they would still use it. For those who asked, the Finale is May 16th.

I wish like anything that he had been on this year's judges panel. He would have been glorious. And I am keeping my fingers crossed for an appearance on the Idol finale.

YAY! I knew if I went to Miami he'd end up scheduling something closer to me. Just remember peeps anyone who wants to get there early for a good spot you need to buy the full day pass and not the concert only one. Concert only ticket doesn't let you in til 7:00pm.

One thing I noticed with Nicki is that she was so polarizing from the get-go that they lost a lot of their core audience right from the start. Those folks never gave her a chance and you can hear these folks quite 'loudly' in the comment section of every blog out there right now. Nicki gets slammed as if she single-handedly had killed the show.
I dislike her music or even heract, but I did give her a chance as a judge. I can be judgmental about things, but I tend to pay attention first and then form my opinion. I have to say, Nicki surprised me with the quality of a lot of what she said - in a positive way, contrary to Mariah, who surprised me too, but in the opposite direction. Nicki was with about 70 % of her comments spot on, sometimes the best comment of all 4 judges, and succinct too, while at it. The other 30 % of her comments were at times totally loopy or felt like she was physically or mentally absent. Rarely were her comments middle of the road, even though I think she has somewhat given up in the more recent weeks.
There is one thing I have learned throughout my life, if something ( a project, a show, a company, whatever it is) is on a downward trajectory, then throwing yourself single-handedly in its path in the hope it improves is a waste of a sacrifice. Idol is presently headed south, and for a variety of reasons, the judging not being the most important one, imo. I did not think it would come this bad, but right now, I am glad Adam was not a judge, because I do not believe that he alone would have been able to stem the tide, and just like Nicki, Adam does have haters (for completely different reasons) and with everybody in the media and elsewhere wanting to beat this show to death right now, these haters would have found places to be heard, and their hate would have been unjustified, but it would have been heavily put on Adam's shoulders, just like it is right now on Nicki's and Mariah's. And I think with Mariah there is actually more truth to her having a role in the downward spiral than with Nicki, but that is not the public perception.
Adam could have been the total angel that we know he is, and he could have judged competently, like we know he can, and he still would have been blamed by those that wanted to seek blame. They would have found reasons and if they had to invent them.
The downward spiral has to first come to a slow-down or the show hit rock bottom, get re-organized and then like the Phoenix out of the Ashes, Adam will be a very strong help in its revival, because he does have a vision, he does have opinions, he can show a path, when given a chance to do so. But this ongoing season, I am glad he is not in the role of trying to stem the tide.

Yes, Curtis made top 10, he was the first to go, though. Imo, if Adam can sing with Kris and with a Portuguese and Chinese singer as he did, he can make it work with any one of these 10, except probably Lorenzo. I hope he is spared that, because that is hopeless.
Mys*&@^#r, I agree, if any TSP song had been a major hit, it could be a celebratory performance to sing this with somebody on the show. Just not where we are.
My favorites from FYE: CLYG, PUU, FYE, Strut, DTRH, Soaked and of course FEVER My least favs from FYE: Music Again and Aftermath
My favs from TSP: Shady, Runnin, Broken English, Trespassing, and OOL-acustic, but not studio version My least fav from TSP: NCOE, Kickin In, (but I like that one when Adam sings it live)
I rarely skip any track, when listening to the whole album. But I press replay on my favorites, especially Shady and Running and Fever and CLYG.

craazyforadam, Agree with some of what you say about Nicki. I gave her a chance and loved her during the auditions, which we all know are edited. Once the live shows started, though! Wow!! First of all, showing up 13 minutes late for the first Top 10 show is so unprofessional, I can not even!! I've been in line before when the judges showed up. They come in around 3:00 Pacific Time, even Steven and Jlo! Her clothes are 75% of the time inappropriate for family TV. If she has a favorite, she wears blinders. She critiques what they wear and how their legs look, more than their singing.
To one of the sweetest contestants ever, Kree, she said "Blowing smoke up your ass" on the air!
Just, "NO!"
***********
Mariah might talk too much but she has critiqued vocals well. She stays classy. And she seems sweet. As a matter of fact, many of the contestants after eliminated, have said she was their favorite judge.
I think Mariah, without Nicki would be better too.
