Oooh, and let's see...when Brian and Roger wanted someone to fill Freddie's very large shoes for those appearances in Europe, whom did they call? Didja notice your phone not ringing, Constantine? I remember Michael Johns dissing Adam several times and I recall somewhere he said Durbin was way better. I always wondered if he was jealous of Adam and wondered what he thought after Adam went on tour with Queen (as I recall Michael Johns sang Queen a couple of times too).

Guys. I love ya. And I respect your feelings and such, but I must say that if Adam appears on the finale to sing WWFM I would rather he just skip it. And I might fling something at my TV and then I'd have to send them all a bill to replace my TV and gah the legal wranglings would get VERY complicated. Look. I get it. WWFM is his big hit. It did a lot for him. I appreciate and respect the song. I could even see why the show would want it to be done....but I don't have to like it. Having him back to sing such an old song is kinda lame in my book. Yeah lame. I was gonna phrase it more eloquently but fuck it...lol I am tired and words are hard. He's done so much this era, made good new music, and lot of people haven't heard it or don't even know it came out. Couple that with him coming back to sing an old song it could come off too "one hit wonder-ish" for my taste. It would be like Oh yeah he's done all these great things since Idol so then why does he still have to only sing THAT ONE song? LOL If he comes back I'd rather he sang something off Trsp or even sang a song with a contestant that wasn't even his own. Sorry I HAVE FEELINGS. STAN FEELINGS OF A STANNY AND COMPLICATED NATURE. AND I JUST STARTED MY PERIOD AND HAVEN'T EATEN DINNER YET SO THE KRAKEN HAS BEEN RELEASED. I mean listen, I feel confident he will have more hit songs in his future. And if he doesn't, thems are the breaks. I'll be a fan. Lotsa great artists have long amazing careers w/o radio hits. But I am just so burnt out on WWFM that the idea of him doing it again doesn't even excite me. And if he's on mah TV DAMMIT I WANT TO BE EXCITED. I WANT TO BE SO EXCITED RAINBOWS ARE SHOOTING OUT OF MY ARSE!!!111 SORRY THIS SOUNDS SUPER WANKY. LOL. I APOLOGIZE. HAVE THIS.

craazyforadam, Agree with some of what you say about Nicki. I gave her a chance and loved her during the auditions, which we all know are edited. Once the live shows started, though! Wow!! First of all, showing up 13 minutes late for the first Top 10 show is so unprofessional, I can not even!! I've been in line before when the judges showed up. They come in around 3:00 Pacific Time, even Steven and Jlo! Her clothes are 75% of the time inappropriate for family TV. If she has a favorite, she wears blinders. She critiques what they wear and how their legs look, more than their singing.
To one of the sweetest contestants ever, Kree, she said "Blowing smoke up your ass" on the air! Just, "NO!" *********** Mariah might talk too much but she has critiqued vocals well. She stays classy. And she seems sweet. As a matter of fact, many of the contestants after eliminated, have said she was their favorite judge. I think Mariah, without Nicki would be better too. I've never noticed Nicki's clothes, other than she's always been able to stand to give a standing ovation. Mariah's girls however have been on display to the high (or better descriptively, low) heavens, the camera can't keep them all in view and have a close enough shot of her face too. She looks so much better and younger when the puppies are cages or at least resting under cover. I don't like that if one judge gives a bad critique they all think they have to say the same thing. I don't like that Nicki always has her back to Randy & Mariah (see Kara and Paula interact on Adam's season to see how it should be) or that she constantly fiddles with her hair. My husband hates her voice, I like that she is coherent. Mariah's nice, my 70+ dad even knew who she was by looking at her, but in the critique department she's at a loss for words. Randy has never had nothing to say and now they hashtag what he does say - which brings me back to hashtag pow, really Mariah? Yes, the cheapest judge, has been the best but I've disagreed with him plenty this year too. I miss Simon, not Simon in the middle when they alternate which judge speaks first, WTF, but when he was the end judge. It's the "wait for it" moment that the show was all about.

Do you guys think if Adam was a judge , that he could pull off a "Simon Cowell" and be all critical ? (without the British accent , though , since he doesn't have it). I don't know , but it sure would be fun watching that .

Another old/new pic, from April, 2011. ʷʰʸ dariabatina :DDDDDDDD #adamlambert bit.ly/1366yyW from here lizameak.wordpress.com/2011/04/28/i-heart-new-york/ … "We then met up with some other friends at a hip restaurant called The Stanton Social. That’s where we had our first celebrity sighting of the trip. Adam Lambert, of American Idol fame was sitting one table away from us. We spent an obscene amount of time obsessing over if and how we should approach him for a picture. Lisa then did the most rational thing by tapping him on the shoulder, explaining it was our friend Kim’s 40th birthday, and asking if he would take a picture with her when he finished his meal. He couldn’t have been nicer about it, and he did indeed come over and took a picture with Kim, even though she’s more than a year away from turning 40. Yes, the man was wearing more eyeliner and nail polish than all the women combined at our table."

Ive been reading all the comments and I think everything has already been said.
I'm not feeling very picky today. I'll take Adam singing on my tv any way I can get him.
OK, maybe not drunk, in the back of a police car singing every last word of Bohemian Rhapsody.

Here's a story. A true one.
Before I begin, tho, I have to tell you about my ride home from the grocery store. The weather was beautiful, and I had my windows open as I drove down the avenue. A CD of Adam's music from Idol was playing. Reached a stoplight, and a guy in an elevated pickup was blasting something I couldn't decipher. Well! Just so happens "Play that Funky Music" was on. I turned up the speakers as loud as I could!!! He gave me a 'thumbs up'!! Way to celebrate Spring!
On to my story . . .
I bid on the auction item for the private Adam concert. When it quickly reached $2000 I stopped and took stock of the situation. So did the other bidders. Nothing happened for several days; until only and hour or so before the ending time.
I'm not wealthy in dollars and cents; but I know what I want. I decided, since every day is precious, that I would try to be 'up close' to AFL one more time; experience my muse one more time . . . and I bid again, and again. Good Heavens! It kept going up and up. With just over a minute left, scared and dizzy from the internal struggle, I clicked to confirm my bid. And then, it was over! And I lost. I felt both relief that I hadn't broke the bank and sadness that I wouldn't have that moment to realize my personal dream. Gone, baby, gone.
Then, a day later, out of the blue, I received an email saying I had a 'second chance'! I could purchase a seat at this private concert for what I had bid!! I was ecstatic! I had to pause and think about the home improvement projects that would be on hold; the trip we wouldn't take, if I once again threw my personal caution to the wind, and let the Universe flow, and, like that wind, envelop me. Ultimately, my answer was yes.
Funny thing, though. DH came with me to the computer and felt something was wrong. Me - I was so excited I became impatient with his clicking here and clicking there . . . I just wanted to acknowledge my acceptance and hear more.
The long and short, the down and dirty, the end of this little story is that the 'second chance' was a sham. Someone was able to 'Phish' the site and contact the high bidders. I learned later, through the actual auctioneers, that had I given my CC# to the emailing address/person, they would have had a quick hunk of money in their hands . . and disappeared.
I send along this story as a reminder to all of us. A cautionary tale. I am internet naive. I only come to Adamtopia and my personal email site. I'm just learning about Twitter. I tell you, this 'second chance' offer looked so legit . . . it had the eBay site logo; looked completely credible; right down to the addresses to contact if fraud is suspected!
Glad DH knew more than I. It's a cruel world out there; even as I live within a spirit of curious love and nurturing acceptance. Maybe I should have known better. I can't help but want to live in a bubble of good. I need to continue to dance along a path towards joy, music, and better understanding, but now with a pebble in my shoe; reminding me that the journey we're on isn't always, pleasantly, what we planned.

Wow, momtomany.
I have not yet gotten cynical, but nonetheless, Mom's old saying still holds true ... if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Glad your husband saw through the scammer. :(
