I will just say that if Adam appears/performs on the Finale, I will be thrilled and bowled over by whatever he sings. And, also, the world is full of potential fans who possibly have never heard WWFM - or heard it and not known the singer - they need to meet him.
It's not just about us stans and what we want all the time.  |

Awwwwwww, momtomany! So sorry about your let down! I said when the bidding was done that this organizztion ought tyo just sell tickets to the other 3 bidders! It's for charity, right?! You will see him one week from tomorrow though!  |

It's true, Idol duets usually do feature one of the guest's big hits. I also think it's true WWFM would be not be the number 1 choice of some of Adam's fans . . .
If he's on, if he duets, my number one choice would be something that he hasn't sung on Idol before - has he sung "Better than I Know Myself" on Idol? Didn't Idol show the beginning of some JLo vid before she sang it once(the one that looked a little similar to FYE vid)? I could picture something like that (I really loved that BTIKM video) . . .
But who would be the best fit for him to duet with? I don't think I'd want to see him with Laz. I think Candace is the best singer, but I don't see the producers seeing them as a "fit" . . .
If Adam wasn't feeling whatever it is the producers might have in mind, I think he'd just politely decline.

Regarding Nicki Minaj, the other night I really cringed hard when she said something to Candace like, "you look good, I don't know if you lost some weight or what . . . " Ow!

I totally "get" why people would not want Adam to sing WWFM. It certainly wouldn't be my choice! I'd choose Cuckoo! But that's not going to happen. I am just being realistic and stating how the finales are. And, WWFM would not surprise me at all. Although, I could see him dueting with Mad World also.
Honestly, I can't think of any song on Trespassing that would be appropriate for a duet?

Guys. I love ya. And I respect your feelings and such, but I must say that if Adam appears on the finale to sing WWFM I would rather he just skip it. And I might fling something at my TV and then I'd have to send them all a bill to replace my TV and gah the legal wranglings would get VERY complicated. Look. I get it. WWFM is his big hit. It did a lot for him. I appreciate and respect the song. I could even see why the show would want it to be done....but I don't have to like it. Having him back to sing such an old song is kinda lame in my book. Yeah lame. I was gonna phrase it more eloquently but fuck it...lol I am tired and words are hard. He's done so much this era, made good new music, and lot of people haven't heard it or don't even know it came out. Couple that with him coming back to sing an old song it could come off too "one hit wonder-ish" for my taste. It would be like Oh yeah he's done all these great things since Idol so then why does he still have to only sing THAT ONE song? LOL If he comes back I'd rather he sang something off Trsp or even sang a song with a contestant that wasn't even his own.Sorry I HAVE FEELINGS. STAN FEELINGS OF A STANNY AND COMPLICATED NATURE. AND I JUST STARTED MY PERIOD AND HAVEN'T EATEN DINNER YET SO THE KRAKEN HAS BEEN RELEASED. I mean listen, I feel confident he will have more hit songs in his future. And if he doesn't, thems are the breaks. I'll be a fan. Lotsa great artists have long amazing careers w/o radio hits. But I am just so burnt out on WWFM that the idea of him doing it again doesn't even excite me. And if he's on mah TV DAMMIT I WANT TO BE EXCITED. Watch Adam NOT do Idol after all our ~thoughts. I totally agree with you (had a power nap, so maybe I'll make some sense here). I WANT animated Adam. This show has been so choked with midtempos and ballads I could screaaamm..My desire would be to have Adam sing something off TP. Naked Love, PTL, Cuckoo, Shady... Show these contestants how to own a stage and not stand like you have a Barbie doll holder up your back. Take em to school. I want Adam to have fun and dance. I am not a big Idol fan and have watched off and on. More on with the top 5. Again, if he duets, WWFM would be a snoozefesty song. Someone this year has to move a muscle..please let it be Adam! Dance, dance, dance....plug the lights in on that show. glory.. Also, IMO, to do WWFM would only accentuate how poorly TP did in the US. That just isn't fair to such a solid album. |
