Doing a quick catch-up on the Adam news. I see peeps have been discussing favorite songs, which album they liked best, and such. The conversation led me to remembering some reviews of Trespassing when it first came out. Here are links to two reviews that have some descriptions that resonated with me. I hope you enjoy the walk down memory lane. Sound like the fighting words of a righteous activist? True, Lambert’s new lyrics can roil with earned anger on the page. But, once sung, they tell a different story. His vocals exude such confidence, freedom and charm, it makes it seem like there’s no need for the revolution he annnounces. It feels like he’s already won the fight. ...... The latter cut means to reveal Lambert’s inner life, his secret vulnerability. While in reality he must have some, his deepest value as a singer, and a star, is his riveting certitude. That’s both politically potent (given his role as an out gay man), and artistically riveting: It’s the sound of liberation achieved.

His honest and intensely personal storytelling adds a powerful dimension to his music that connects with people in a much deeper and lasting way.
One of the album's biggest contributions is that it's not just an accomplished collection of songs, but that it showcases the power and versatility of pop music. Yes, pop music can be fun, and yes, it can be highly stylized, but behind its glossy facade, pop music can also capture powerful emotions that people far and wide can relate to with great ease and apply to their own world of experience. And even if you don't speak English, Lambert's vocal tone and inflection will tell you all you need to know.
Lambert perfectly understands the power of pop and uses the ever-evolving genre to his full advantage. While pushing the envelop creatively, artistically and personally, the singer gives people music to make their own and cherish forever, which makes him a pop star of the brightest kind.

I have finally given in and decided to try to get to the San Diego concert. Making a little trip - San Francisco, LA, San Diego.
I'm wondering if anyone has a spare ticket to sell - would like Floor 3 or 4 ideally.
Have looked on StubHub and I would have to buy a pair of tickets (just for me!) and have the choice of only those with instant download as they won't send to the UK.
Thought about it for so long - gonna do it!

I've been wondering about Adam's AI finale. I think I remember that Kiss was a surprise guest that night. Maybe Queen, also? I've always thought the season 8 finale was extra glittery with stars. Figured you would know. Was it as special as I think it was?

Wow, just read the blurb on Mariah and Randy. Hasn't he been her manager for 15 years. I guess when it comes to a career and money, loyalty means nothing. But I understand her position, she needs and wants a hit, so you go where it is happening. Tough business.
I love both albums, and believe it or not the songs I skip over are WWFM, BTIKM and NCOE. Soaked is one of my favorites as is Shady.
