Interesting, I had not heard of the Cinco de Mayo celebration before. May I wish a Happy Easter to those on this board who observe the Orthodox Easter.

Holst: What I think that Sam Harris and Adam have in common is a knack for interpreting a song that brings out all the emotion in it. They can take even a simple song melody and make it tear at your heartstrings. Sam, like Adam, can belt out some higher notes with power, but I think Adam's voice has more ring and resonance in those notes. I don't really get the comments about Adam imitating Sam's voice or style. Adam is definitely his own artist, but Sam has a great voice, too. Thanks for bringing the videos over on a slow day. I agree. When Sam said people were saying that Adam reminds them of him, I was HUH? Maybe it's because they both sing with ease. I do like the rich timbre of Sam's voice, and his lower range is more full that Adam's. At any rate, not alike but both very good.

mshadows77- Want to thank you for my lovely late night!!! Love the youtubes you posted at the end of yesterdays thread of Adam's Wicked in its entirety. I always wanted to see him in more than just the clips-- and with my lights off, alone on the couch I felt like I traveled in time and was watching the show. He is a better actor than I even thought he'd be. Thank you!

Interesting, I had not heard of the Cinco de Mayo celebration before. May I wish a Happy Easter to those on this board who observe the Orthodox Easter. I have celebrated Cinco De Mayo for years but mostly as an excuse to make Mexican food and drink margaritas. Last year I stumbled upon a news report about the holiday and was surprised to learn it was American, not Mexican. (Actually Mexican American). Cinco de Mayo has been around since 1862 and is celebrated mostly in the US -- and really not celebrated in Mexico. It is the anniversary of a Mexican military victory over the invading French army on May 5, 1862, and in 1862, U.S. Latinos of Mexican heritage parlayed the victory as a rallying cry that the Union could also win the Civil War. [The French sided with the Confederates, US Latinos with the Union during the US Civil War._ The celebrations started in Mexican communities in the US West, spread across the US as a holiday to celebrate Mexican culture and pride. I the past 20 years the holiday has exploded in the US -- and it is now been converted into a major party and food holiday. And it is now promoted by major brands: www.pepsico.com/Story/Tostitos-identifies-top-party-ready-cities-leading-up-to-Cinco-de-Mayo04302013944.html I live in Northeast Ohio where there are very few Mexican Americans but it was hard to find avocados, cilantro, limes and even red onions today. (These are the ingredients for guacamole which is a "essential" today.) Corona beer was stacked up in the aisles. More info here: And here: egpnews.com/2009/04/cinco-de-mayo-the-real-story/Many Americans think that Cinco de Mayo is Mexican Independence Day but that is actual September 16th. blogs.loc.gov/law/2011/05/cinco-de-mayo-is-not-mexican-independence-day/

Feral @feraltwirler 12m HEY!!! Adam Lambert is donating his talent to a web series for charity!! Not much detail yet but look www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-fight … CAST & CREW: Passion goes a long way, and, while some members of our fabulous team (Adam Lambert) have offered to do donate their talents, labor is labor. What does it mean, some new show and Adam will be in it. I do not quite understand it..
