The New York Times has not been very Adam friendly. They liked him on AI tour, but gave FYE a review that Metacritic counted as a 45 lowering his overall score. They didn't bother to review Trespassing which I am sure is for the best. GNT was not very well review my them either. I feel like writing a pro Adam comment because I am pretty annoyed at his exclusion from the list, but would probably just be perceived as a crazy fan girl. They didn't name any male singers.. that shows where their heads are,Look what Idol is going through to get a female winner. The NYT is so snooty and IMHO has become a bit irrelevant as far as today's POP scene. I refuse to get into this one, they are welcome to their opinions and I am welcome to ignore them. >:( Look at this tweet reply he made to someone! LMAO! This says it all! "Lambert I GUESS, though I did prefer Kris Allen. Guys I loved best were cheesy/cute ones like Anthony Fedorov or Chris Richardson." He's a Kris Allen fan!!!!!!! He's a P2 fan!!

The question is who gets to pick. When Adam played with KISS did KISS pick all the songs?, did Adam, did the AI producers? I kind of like the medley idea. And to answer another question, according to the timeline posted earlier about the 2009 finale one of the last 2 sings near the front (Kris) and another midling towards the end. They know glamberts will be waiting, Angie so far is the draw too so stands to reason they'll arrange if for nearer the end than the beginning. I am 100% positive Adam picks! I am also 100% sure that Adam picks the song -- I also am 100% sure that he will get max attention from Michael Orland and the production crew and that he gets a production budget. *** OT but one of my "home states" finally passed gay marriage!! DELAWARE

I didn't send The New York Times my comment, but it really bugs me that they don't give Adam more respect. For one thing, it is probably the most important newspaper in the US, and what they say has some weight in public opinion for this reason alone.

That isn't saying much any more ... a dying institution catering to fewer people every year. Did you see that the Washington Post's profits fell last year by 85%? In one year. And from what I understand they're in better shape than the Times. Not worth worrying about imho.

Their website is in the top 5 most frequently visited news sites -- they get over 59 million unique visitors every month. www.ebizmba.com/articles/news-websitesThe print form of newspapers is dying, but the electronic form still has readership. However, the biggest problem newpapers have is figuring out how to make their websites profitable.

The NY Times gives you 20 free articles a month, but if you want more than that you have to get a paid subscription. I bet they have a fair amount of paid subscribers. I am one because I really like some of their op ed columnists.

So, from his tweet we can surmise that, at least when it comes to guys, it is not about the SINGING at all. It's about the cuddly, cuteness factor. At least he is honest about it.

The guy also tweeted that he liked Daughtry. He likes the female contestants more than the guys: JoeReid @joereid The guys have never been my faves, for whatever reason. Phil Phillips came close. Daughtry should have won his season. About Adam: JoeReid @joereid I think he's quite talented, just not one of my super-favorites.Personally, I can't get too excited about this NYT article -- it's not a major article about music and/or Idol. Joe Reid is not even one of the NYT music critics -- it looks like he usually writes about movies. I guess the way I look at it is that no one is universally loved -- even the most admired artists have detractors (even Adele!). Not everyone is going to love Adam. In general, I think Adam has quite a bit of respect among music writers and in the music industry, and is widely considered to be one of the best Idol contestants ever on the show. So the occasional odd article is not worth worrying about. As Jinkx Monsoon says: "Water off a duck's back."

Wow, just been reading more about the idol feud between Nick and Mariah. Her husband has become her voice. She is now threatening not to show up this week, and also not debut her new song "Beautifal." ( I think that is the song) Rumor now has it about replacing the whole panel, and replacing with P Diddy, Pink, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. I hope this is a joke (except for Pink, of course). What are they bringing to the table? "How to vomit on stage while lip-syncing" Good one Teddy!!! </img>

It is posted on page 1 in the OP. ** On the NYT article -- may I just say WTF is Nadia Turner? (Don't answer, I Googled her.) Is this a joke or a ploy to get a lot of Glambert hits? I think he just does not like Adam. He was "pulling for Kris" in 2009 -- and from what I can tell has never written anything about Adam that did not have a negative comment in it somewhere. lowresolution.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html I honestly do not mind that Adam did not make his list. I am just puzzled why he pick someone who was #8 on Season 4 and has no future. Oh, I'm sorry, she was a "gift with purchase" for ice cream. From wiki: "In 2008, her single "Standing On Love" is part of the Edy's SlowChurned Icecream promotional CD "Hot Tracks" available for free with ice cream purchasing at participating stores." Well OK, leave off a list of accomplished Idol alums -- including Adam -- for someone an avid Idol fan needs to Google. Negates the whole list for me.
