I think Shady would be fun... the FUNK. Although as said before, Adam can sing the phone book and I will be in heaven. "Shady" would be fun, but I don't think Angie would want to risk her Christian image by singing about patrolling for sex in clubs! :D Hehe & 8-| Good point..back to WWFM |

The Roller Coaster Series : Day 3
I knew something smelt like honey yesterday . I knew it ! Adam is a Busy Bee in a Black and Yellow outfit , and has lots of sweet honey in store .
Now I'm not gonna say I'm a witch and that I knew that he was indeed gonna appear at the AI finale .
In fact , I was SURE that he WASN'T gonna appear . No way , NO HOW .
I was pleasantly surprised to say the least .
On May 3rd , I tweeted :

If Adam Lambert performs on AI finale , I'll try to return my respect to that excuse of a show again .
So , yeah , AI has a little bit of my respect back now . I can at least mention "American Idol" without cringing .

Actually , I think this is American Idol's way of Kissing Adam's Fabulous Freckled Little Cute White RawkGawd A$$ .
So , now , what is he gonna do on American Idol ?
A duet . With an Idol contestant .
Now I don't like duets , I want to see Adam alone .
Hell , If I were Nigel Whatever-his-name-is I would put Adam on the show and let him sing non-stop , and then let Adam get down to the judges' table and judge his own singing .
They can announce the winner on AI's official webpage . On in the Ford commercials , like someone here said . They don't matter , anyways .
I don't know the girl he's gonna sing with so I won't judge .
I want Adam to sing alone , then maybe the duet , and I want the WATN thing for him . That would be purr-fect .
What is he gonna sing ?
Now this is tricky . While I read through yesterday's thread , I saw posts that said "I want him to sing something from Trespassing" and posts said "I'm sure he's gonna do WWFM . OMG , not again !!"
And then someone (I think it was Q3) said that maybe they (Adam and the contestant) could sing Jessie J's "Domino" .
Now I love Jessie J . And I love Domino .
But ADAM LAMBERT is the Super Star in the house . Why put Adam Lambert on the show a make him sing a cover , like he's just another contestant ?
Lack of respect to Adam , IMVHO .
I don't care what he's gonna sing , as long as the song is HIS song .
But all in all , this news was great and was enough to put a smile on my face this morning .
Weird that he hasn't tweeted about it yet .
Has Adam lost his phone ?

Excited about Idol. Not so excited about the probable song. All I want is for the song to be one of Adam's own. One of the TP songs would be the best! A HUGE NO from me to ANY cover! TP could be made into a very nice duet IMO  I also hope for the WATN clip AND the AT&T PSA!!!! |

After some thinking I have decided that Angie is, in fact, better for Adam to sing with than the more balanced and vocally impressive Candice. Assuming that I don't care about how the contestants popularity increases, which I certainly do not, then only two things are the goal:
1. For Adam to sound amazing. No worries there. In fact sounding better than his duet partner is always the case for him and just reminds people that he was and is the best.
2. For Adam to come across as a relevant pop artist. Angie is the one contestant who is the most relevant in the market Adam is after.
So song choice...see goal number 2. I want him to be there as a superstar not as "past contestant who has talent" (reference Clay Aken singing Bridge Over Troubled Water for his return). I will be disappointed if it's not his own song. WWFM or IIHY would sell his past successes but a Tresspassing song focuses foward not back. If he has to sing a cover I do NOT want a Jesse J or RiRi or someone else that he is basically aspiring to be at the level of in the pop world. I would rather a song he could own more outright. Does Jennifer Hudson have her own music to sell or is she all about covers? If they both do covers maybe...
This is all about PR. How to sell Adam. So what is the best way to maximize this great exposure? In the end I trust Adam and his team to make the most of this night and I will be happy for what I get.
It will be nice to see him somewhere he is so comfortable, with an audience that respects him, and singing with a contestant that seems to really know and love him.

No disrespect, and I get the point you were making , but the fact that Taylor Hicks did a cover only highlights why Adam should not. |
