I will post a numbers recap in the numbers thread later tonight but for now Trespassing Deluxe album jumped from #366 at 8:43pm to #83 at 9:39pm EST ETA: This is itunes Pop albums chart. People didn't know Adam had a second album out is my impression. Well, Idol, thanks for that snippet and Adam's performance next week won't hurt TP either. Gotta give the show a thumbs up for that kind of promotion. |

I just have to say I'm surprised that Idol didn't pimp Kree's back story much sooner, like they usually do. I'm from the same area in Texas as Kree and everyone knew about her parents here. It would be nearly impossible for them to do the homecoming without it being mentioned, but I don't think it was done to just generate sympathy for Kree. I have a feeling that Kree wasn't to keen on having the story pimped out and maybe that's why nothing was said until the homecoming spots. I actually graduated from high school with Kree's aunt Penny! Anyway, I agree that any of the top 3 would be great in the finals, although I really didn't connect with Angie at all. I still think Candice has the best voice by far. Can't wait to see Adam on TV again and singing!!!!

But Adam sang with Queen first on Idol. It would have been the perfect segue to show them singing together on the Idol finale and then mention that they specifically asked for him to sing with them in front of 250,000 people in Kiev!

Nope. And when Candice or Kree win, it will be the first time someone in the bottom 2 has won, since Fantasia! The last time there were 2 girls in a Finale!! Interesting!! It has been an odd season. They manipulated themselves into two non-commercial possible winners. I guess Universal is routing for Kree because they will make her go country. Seems to me most of the top 10 are non-commercial in the pop world. Even Angie is a stretch in pop, but she could do well in a style like Alicia Keys. Very little variety this year - mostly contestants who do best with slow songs. No rocker types this season. |

What does being from New England have to do with it? Do they vote less? The Idol tour maps shows lots more concerts in New England than in other parts of the country, in CA. Contestants from the South have a huge advantage. They vote like mad people down there. I think Jordin is the only Idol winner who wasn't from the South. Yes, we are mad people down here !!! And I agree that contestants from the South do have an advantage. We've had two Idol winners who lived 15 minutes from each other (Reuben and Taylor Hicks), and would have had another winner (Bo Bice) in that same 15 mile range had it not been for Carrie Underwood, who was country. Both Southern and country seem to have an advantage. I threw a few votes Angie's way last nite...first time I've voted since Adam. |
