I will post a numbers recap in the numbers thread later tonight but for now Trespassing Deluxe album jumped from #366 at 8:43pm to #83 at 9:39pm EST ETA: This is itunes Pop albums chart. People didn't know Adam had a second album out is my impression. Well, Idol, thanks for that snippet and Adam's performance next week won't hurt TP either. Gotta give the show a thumbs up for that kind of promotion. Yup! RCA relied on radio and DMG didn't get him any TV gigs when the album dropped. Just one was not enough! |

But Adam sang with Queen first on Idol. It would have been the perfect segue to show them singing together on the Idol finale and then mention that they specifically asked for him to sing with them in front of 250,000 people in Kiev! I hear you, Murly, I do. But in such a short segment, I think they wanted to show him as an Idol international superstar. Why they couldn't have spent a few extra seconds on Queen, I really don't know. And I agree with you. But Idol put most of their time into Idol footage. I didn't like it either but it didn't surprise me.  |

bayoulady1 I love this.. It's perfect..IMHO, if they mentioned Adam and Queen,It would take a bit of the focus off of Adam.. This segment was about one person ADAM and his MUSIC. |

Was Adam with DMG when BTIKM dropped and TP launched, Mys*&@^#r, or did Adam drop 19 later when his contract expired? I can't remember the timeline. It has been an odd season. They manipulated themselves into two non-commercial possible winners. I guess Universal is routing for Kree because they will make her go country. Seems to me most of the top 10 are non-commercial in the pop world. Even Angie is a stretch in pop, but she could do well in a style like Alicia Keys. Very little variety this year - mostly contestants who do best with slow songs. No rocker types this season. I think Angie is commercial. I thought she did a great job on "Try" last night. Kree will do well in the country market. Candice is a bit worrisome, even though I think she is phenomenal. And she even said, "I'm not Pop." But someone said they see her as an American version of Adele. So, if she gets the right songs, she should do well! |

Good point, Dancygeorgia, and people remembered when Idol was VITAL! Idol wants that back and Adam is the perfect example of when the show had life and diversity in its performers. A strong season in general, A8. |
