Lol - Mouth full of Marbles. More like foot in the mouth. This is how a Spanish (from Spain) accent sounds when speaking American English. It is different from the 'Hispanic' accent that you are probably more familiar with. Every country in the world has an accent when speaking or singing another language. Bet you would have and accent too, if you spoke Spanish or any other language for that matter. Hmmmm.... not sure if you were directing the 'foot in the mouth' comment at me? Whatever..... I fully understood that the 'mouth full of marbles' was due to his accent. It was enough for me to turn the video off before it was over. I remember other vids from his run on the singing show being posted here and IMO his voice is not to my liking and lacks many things that attract me to a voice (authenticity, artistry, tone, warmth etc.). I didn't require a patronizing lesson on spoken (in this case sung) language. My opinion is MY opinion. |

Hmmm. Alex Forriols. He sure likes Adam's songs. Enough to copy them almost exactly, note for note, riff for riff. I guess I cannot blame him. Why change a song that has already been interpreted magnificently? How can one improve on Adam? But, dude, that is not artistry, that's mimicry. (And Adam's tone is still richer and fuller and betterer.) Cassie, it might be mimicry, but what I like about Alex is that he chose Fever to be performed on national TV in Spain. Something that Adam could not have done in the US. Also, the fact that he is an Adam fan, in a country (Spain) where Adam is not known by many people is good enough for me to like him ;-) |

Last night my daughter just home from college excitedly told me she had heard Jensen Ackles from Supernatural sing an Adam Lambert song and it was awesome. She had heard it on tumblr and therefore it must be legitimate. So I skeptically listened and it was indeed a great voice, a little 'darker' than Adam's singing Runnin. I was floored that there was anyone else on earth that could sing this song so flawlessly and with so little effort. Then about a third of the way through I realized every little nuance was exactly the same as Adam's and it was indeed Adam but edited to sound different.
Here it is in Youtube where the comments have been stopped, on the most played video;
I think it's all good though as the song has now has been played on tumblr 36,000 times and the comments are full of OMG's what a voice and fantastic song. Many people have commented that it is indeed Adam so if they wanted to legally D/L it they could find it on itunes. It's all good exposure for Adam as Supernatural fans who wouldn't normally bother to listen to an Adam song are introduced to this song.
I think Adam said he hasn't sung this song live as it is so difficult to cover that range live. So.... wouldn't this be a great duet for Adam and Angie?
Just putting it out there.

When did he call it the tickle box? That is cute! I can only remember he and Leila calling it the Halloween Box. .... the ' tickle trunk' is from Mr. Dressup, right? Was that show popular outside of Canada? |

I think it is the Tickle Box Aleks or as is more commonly called the Tickle Trunk...one of those...I think Thank you!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting. I've never heard the term "tickle trunk." Is that a Canadian saying, do you think? Maybe I'm just in the wrong part of the country to know about it. ETA: I see others are curious too. |

Adam never called the costume box a "tickle box" ... he might have referred to it as being like a treasure chest for him as a kid, but other than that he talked about it as "the box with the Halloween costumes". |
