I love this site. Can't believe the variety of topics everyone talks about- bust candles????? I know Adam ties us all together, but I honestly think we would always find something to talk about. I also thought it was Jefferson. Does anyone know what Casanova looked like? There is a lot of debate about what Casanova looked like. This is considered the most accurate albeit flattering portrait of Casanova. I believe he was actually not a very attractive man. And in the strange way or the world he is a distant (very distant) relative of mine.

Sasha Mallory is doing the demonstrating for the SYTYCD contestants who need to go to choreography to see if they do well enough to make it to Vegas. She's on the last 2 minutes of the first audition show. So that's why she was in all the audition cities. I asked her several times but she never replied! Yay! Love how Adam's friends and colleagues are experiencing so much success now! Would love to see something big happen for Terrance. He is so talented! Sasha is still with SYTYCD? I'm odd, I know, but it strikes me funny that people who come to audition for a dancing competition may need to go to choreo.. Kinda like sending an AI person to a vocal coach to see if they can sing before they audition..lol...DO THEY???

Man, Adam posts an instagram and we are very easily entertained. I bet he LOVES instagram..ha! If he lurks here and sees how invested we are in anything he posts, I can't wait to see what he comes up with during the slow times... #bustcandles

I try not to read things into everything Adam but does this mean he is doing a cover for Idol Finale? And yes, I realize he is literally referring to the photo and hiding under the jacket. But why use the word COVER? Adam Lambert @adamlambert 4h I Love doing covers. Right mdmolinari ?? instagram.com/p/ZTsu1muNOZ/

So is this guy a date or just a friend?

Well, there are so many different dance styles, someone may be good in one style but not be able to handle another. Particularly those who learned to dance on the streets, not in a dance studio. They may be incredible at hip-hop, but cannot pick up or execute formal dance steps. Also, someone may present a solo at audition that they have worked on for months, but they cannot quickly learn a new number and a new style, which is necessary for the show. As far as sending potential AI contestants to a vocal coach, no, I don't think they do, but, they go thru about three auditions before they ever see the judges for the official on-screen audition round. Same sort of weeding out process? Something I HAVE noticed on SYTYCD: they have contestants dance different styles throughout the contest, but there are exceptions. No one but a tap dancer ever draws a tap dance routine. No one but a ballet dancer ever draws a real ballet routine. And on Idol, they don't have an Opera week, either. I guess some genres require such specific training and experience that performers cannot cross over and do justice to them.

Like Hip Hop dancer might be BAD at another style. Plus, they have to learn the choreo so fast during the show. I think it is different than a vocal coach. (In my mind it is anyway! LOL!) Now, Idol could have a "learning the lyrics" coach! Lazaro would not have been put through! ETA: Or what Cassie said! I should have read that first!

I guess some genres require such specific training and experience that performers cannot cross over and do justice to them. That's because they don't really draw the dances, they are actually assigned. This is per the season 2 winner Benji Schwimmer. In his 5.5 hour coming out interview last May, Benji talked about some of the behind-the-scenes goings on at SYTYCD. His full story of trying to reconcile his orientation with his Morman faith is really worth a listen: mormonstories.org/350-352-dance-champion-benji-schwimmer/Here's the part 2 of 3 where he talks about SYTYCD: I've followed Benji since he was a pre-teen competing on the West Coast Swing Dance circuit back in the 90's. I even had the pleasure of dancing with him once at a Swing Dance event in Phoenix when he was 16 - one of THE BEST West Coast Swing dances of my life!!! He is a really nice guy who is polite to everyone, just like Adam. And since I'm tooting my on horn here a bit, I've also had a dance lesson from Pasha, the ballroom dancer on SYTYCD season 3. Pasha has been best friends with my Latin dance instructor since they were teens. Also, this is the best season ever of Dancing With The Stars. All four of the finalist are really good and any one of them could win. ETA - DWTS finalists includes Kellie Pickler, 6th place finalist from Idol season 5.
