We know that Adam will be on the American Idol Finale tonight and that he will perform a special duet. Shirley Halperin reported in The Hollywood Reporter that Adam will duet with Angie. Many online blogs and entertainment news sites have picked up this report but the Adam and Angie duet has not been confirmed.

The night starts with the red carpet pre-show.

Angie tweets about the Finale

Angie was scheduled to give a solo performance of her new single,
"You Set Me Free", but there was a last minute change and the
performance will not be included on the show. The song will still be
released on May 16th as planned.

Late to the party, but I just read yesterday's thread and saw a lot of speculation about what Adam is actually going to do on the Idol finale. So, here is my contribution to the speculation:

I saw JessieJ's tweets saying that she is now in L.A and Angie is a big fan of hers. So it got me thinking: what if the rumors about an Adam/Angie duet are just a smokescreen, a story "leaked" to cover what Adam's true role will be? Maybe Angie is really going to sing with JessieJ, and Adam is going to lead a surprise tribute to Randy Jackson. After all "the Dawg" has been on Idol since the beginning, and I'm assuming that the show will want to do something to honor him before he leaves. Just a thought ...

Whatever happens, I'm looking forward to seeing Adam on the red carpet and on the show.
