Hollywood Reporter: Idol FinaleThis article is saying that Candice's duet partner has yet to be determined. I'm guessing she was supposed to sing with Aretha, who cancelled for health reasons. Maybe...the show was able to get Jessie J at the last minute, and they're putting her with Angie and having Adam sing with Candice. IF this is true, it would be quite a testament to Adam, don't you think? They schedule Adam to sing with Angie and they rehearse. Then, Jennifer Hudson says "no" and Aretha cancels and they cannot find someone who can duet with Candice and make it work. Who can match her huge voice and style? Wellllll, Adam certainly can. He has an incredible voice and has demonstrated his ability to handle multiple styles. But, he is already prepared to sing with Angie. True, but Adam is beyond professional and a hard worker. HE would be capable and good natured enough to handle a last minute switch with grace. They can just find someone else to sing with Angie, and their problem is solved. Adam saves Idol AGAIN. I kinda like that scenario. Heck, just let Adam sing with all of them. It would make for the most dynamic, exciting finale ever. Would Adam and Candace singing A Change Is Gonna Come be fitting? |

A bottle of wine, potato chips, a favourite movie .... I have it all ... now if I just could distract myself long enough until the red carpet, I'd be happy ... but it isn't working FFS!!!!

I hope he doesn't sing the Life Ball song...... Don't worry there's NO way he will. That is booked exclusivly to premiere at the life ball .... no exceptions. Too much money and prestige hanging on this one. ETA: And silently to myself I suspect fans will be disapointed by the song, though not by the show. The show will be all Adam has ever dreamt of and more .... just the song ... I suspect ... will not be heard a week after the event .... Even if the song were super super hot and perfect ... coming from my country and these (nice and great and sucessfull but really very local) producers ... it will not find its way into international fame. Hey Atopers... why no more speculation on his latest tweets? Was it Q3? the other day commenting about Adam using the word "cover" in his tweet. And now we get these two #throwback pictures. Doesn't he often put out cryptic messages. Well, it makes me think he is doing a cover and from the past... So I am now not expecting him to have a solo spot, or duet, using his own song... We'll see. Anyone else care to speculate. After all, speculations are us:-) ![]() Here it is just a few hours before the show starts and Adam is sending out "blast from the past" pictures. He knows speculation is running rampant. He could be trying to tell us something. What are those pictures from specifically? I'm thinking he may be singing something from FYE. The cover tweet could be a clue also or it could just be a pun. ![]() Seems like the lineup has had some last minute changes and Adam would definitely be a "go to" guy for pulling off a performance with minimal rehearsal. NO I don't want a COVER, nor do I want a song from FYE I WANT something from TP!
WHy would he do a cover? He's too smart for that, he knows/needs/wants to promote his own music.
I can't wait.....WIll his band be there?????????????
