I was hoping that meant that Adam would also be performing a solo. But I just looked at Shoshanna's client list at edgepublicity.co.uk/clients/ and she also represents Jennifer Lopez who is also performing tonight. I forgot about Jennifer! |

so Adam is definitely singing with Angie...but Angie tweeted something about "we're all gonna die" when we see who she's dueting with. We already had a heads up about Adam - I'm thinkin' Jessie J is going to do more than her new single... God I hope Jessie isn't worked into the Angie/Adam duet!  (I prefer to hold out hope that we'll be thrilled with Adam's camera time like with the EMA's!) Maybe Angie's own song was cancelled from the show because they got Jessie J to sing with her last minute. They put her song on iTunes since she is not doing it on the show. That would make time for Angie to do two songs....one with Adam and one with Jessie J. ![]() |

Done. No more speculation needed. Jessie J. must be debuting her single on Idol and that knocked out Angie's solo. Or there is a big party somewhere that I was not invited to. Or she is there to see Adam live! Or, Jessie J could be doing a medley number with the top 5 girls, like Frankie Valli is doing with the top 5 boys. That would make alot of sense. And would make Angie very happy also. Also, maybe Aretha was supposed to duet with Candice and Jennifer H with Amber. But then when Aretha got ill they switched Jennifer to Candice and thus left Amber unhappy. Surely they found someone for Amber, but she doesn't seem too excited about whatever is happening. And there's no way Amber could be dueting with Jessie J because then Angie would be very unhappy which she does not seem to be. That all make sense. Jessie J. tweeted that they finished the first edit of her new single on 5.10.13 so it would be a push to do it on Idol -- rather than the planned announcement on Monday. And they have not announced anyone for the big number with the girls. And Amber is certainly pouting. Your guess fits all the clues we have. |

Remember Nile is also in town for one day... Nile Rogers+DAFT PUNK= Get Lucky= throwback to dance records of the ‘70s and ‘80 Nile Rogers+Adam Lambert=singing sound proofing off the walls= all morning tweeting throwback with rock/FUNK look Possible new song? Too OT? Yet the EMAs happened. DNW duet, but ok if it is. Want new song. Want idol to blow up. Want ADAM to sing ADAM. Wouldn't this be grand!!! I also want a Trespassing song... but sadly I am thinking that could be a stretch. But who knows. Does Daft Punk have a lead singer. Don't remember much about them? I am still holding out hope they will do an AT&T spotlight and Adam will do a solo performance - or with Nile et al would even be better... |

To change the subject for a minute.. Just saw The Great Gatsby... LOVED IT.. read the book and saw the old movie with Mia Farrow as Daisy.. This version was really wonderful...Carry on...... Well, tell us more about how the new 2013 version compares with the 1974 version? Leonardo DeCaprio versus Robert Redford??? We need something besides speculation to fill in the time till Idol starts! IMHO,Leonardo was much better than Robert,he gave a many layered performance.. much more vulnerable than Redford.. This new Daisy also better than Mia Farrow,she was transcendent . The photography,the excess of the rich.. spectacular.. I really didn't expect to love this movie but I did and do. |

Jessie J. (if she is on Idol) is certainly there to promote her new single and album -- even if she does not do her new single.
I seem to recall that Kris and Adam only got one run through with Queen. So possible the girls could have rehearsed with a stand-in Jessie and did a run-through today.
But this is an odd season, the top 5 are all girls and presumably all get duets.
The bottom 5 are all guys and it seems like they are just getting Frankie Valli.
