I kinda like part of her singing (low range) but it gets very shouty--like she's going to explode if she sings any higher. However, I get very worried about the crackling in her voice starting at 3:10. I predict vocal problems coming on in the future. That is really scary sounding--physically, I mean, for her vocal health.

Q3 do you have extra general admission tickets for PP now that you have upgraded to VIP? Sandy, I have one extra ticket in my hot little hand. That chair rule sucks. I just bought a rest and roll in order to baby my knee which gets its own MRI on 6/3. Maybe if I have a note from my DR.? Will call and let you know. What chair rule?

Agree that this beautiful finale performance could be a little bit of market research for AI, not that that is its major reason of being. All the good press he got was great to impress Idol as was the very warm welcome he received. I thought it was interesting that Shoshanna tweeted right away encouraging fans to get that count up. If it is very important that he has a respectable view count or not very important it is just about the only thing we fans can do right now to advance his cause. Like all of us, I am on team I want it because he wants it.

Good post. See I am for the most part team DO IT if he was asked--who knows I mean all this hand wringing could be for naught if he isn't even being considered except in our own minds lol--but I would be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that was a bit conflicted and unsure (I guess as with any big decision...though it wouldn't even be mine lol #nerd) about it. The credibility issue is one thing that makes me hesitate as is the looming question if the FOX people will be able to clearly see all that needs to be fixed (and there is a lot lol) or just continue to do the same dumb shit and focus on crap that doesn't help. I mean a great judge panel definitely helps but if the contestants all suck and are all singing 60 year old snoozers then that doesn't help either. So yeah, I have my reservations. But let's say he DOES become a judge. This is how I break it down: 1) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Can't beat that. Even if they get him as a "deal" even making 1 or 2 million to judge a show he already enjoys watching? Heh. Pretty sweet. 2) It's not that time consuming. If he was still working on an album or even promoting the miraculous release of his third album in a timely manner (lol) Idol doesn't take a ton of time from his schedule. So I wouldn't think it would be a huge distraction. 3) EXPOSURE. Adam is great on TV. TV is great for Adam. Regardless of what you think about the show, having him show millions of people twice a week for a few months how smart and well spoken he is can't hurt. It could really help change around some minds of people who think he is just the BIG SKURRY MAKE UP WEARING GHEY WHO KISSED THAT GUY ON TV ONCE. Getting the tv watching public to fall in love with you can only bring good things imo. And yeah if he had a single or album out too it wouldn't hurt 4) RADIO SCHMADIO. We have no clue what the puppet masters who hold the radio strings will do or if the industry will scorn him for it. Will he ever get carte blanche like some acts? Who knows (though when Queen and Nile publically fawn over you I think you at least have some legitimacy lol). I think basing what Adam should do or not do on the whims of a wacky industry is unwise. I mean Maroon 5 was pretty successful before The Voice but not to this level. I mean who woulda thought it woulda catapulted them into the massive success they are having now? Thats not to say the same will happen for Adam (though that would be pretty sweet) but anything is possible. And if it doesn't then he at least has MILLIONS of more ears remembering he exists and/or hearing he has music out etc etc. 5) It can't get worse! Hey this season was pretty much universally panned. Adam will be hailed as a revelation by default! LOL but seriously a panel of him and three golden retrievers would look ten times more amazing in comparison. Not that we'd have to worry, but it's easier to step up to the plate when the guy before you has just struck out and split his pants and fell down on the mound. LOLOLOL. So yeah. Who knows if this is even an option--the show may not even be thinking of him as an option. It's fun to spec because, well not much else going on right now, and I can honestly see both sides of the argument. But in the end I think the good outweighs the bad. It's an old show, and it has lots of issues but it still gets 14 plus MILLION eyeballs tuning in. That's a pretty damn good way of letting people know HEY I GOT MUSIC TO BUY YO. I do have to say tho my mashed potatoes DO tingle a little when I see how upfront and whatnot about wanting to be a judge. "Where do I sign?" is pretty forward, a whole lot of puttin yourself out on the line to possibly look passed over or embarrassed. Even before this season, when he was grinning like a Cheshire cat while being asked about possibly being a judge and some of us were positive he had the gig, I don't remember him being so...whats the word.....VOCAL and BOISTEROUS about the gig. He was more "Oh that would be cool." and just seemed more laid back and cagey about it all. IDK wut to think tbh. Does this new way of handling the questions just mean he is being more aggressive with letting tptb he is interested or can he afford to be so vocal because he know he wont be overlooked? *wink wink tinhat tinhat* LOLOLOLOLOL I srsly don't know. Whatever. If he doesn't get it then whatever. I mean my heart won't break. If there is one thing we learned is that he dodged a MASSIVE BULLET by not getting the gig this time. So if he doesn't again then I will assume it's the universe working in mysterious ways again =) In the end I care more about ALBUM 3 BOOYAH Other than this my biggest heartache for Adam will be if he doesn't get it after putting himself out there so openly- but on the other hand, he is his own best promoter and at least he did all he could, and it may just be my issue, not his! I don't plan too worry much about it. A long time until a new season, and as stated here, they really do need to update and make some changes - not just to the judging panel. I wish they would go back to different mentors each week like on Adam's season. I don't care for Jimmy L at all. The few times I watched he seemed to critique in a manner that kept people in a box, and I sort of blame him as part of what is wrong with all the same-o that is out there now days - rightly or wrongly cuz I really don't know much about him so a perception comment on my part not based in any known facts. In my fantasy with all the industry peeps that like Adam, maybe Brian May could mentor, and Nile, and Meatball, and Sam Sparrow, and Katy Perry and .... well you get the idea. Get some legends and some pop people that like Adam to mentor... Oh, and Adam can be a paid consultant and provide staging ideas so contestants don't just stand there like a log... yes, and update the catalog of songs!!! As Adam said, something like "let's put on a show" when he mentored and things were "sleepy"!

Adam already said he wanted to be a judge last year. Nothing new is saying it now. And, the reporters will just say that FOX was stupid if they do not pick him. Either way he wins.

I think you meant MEATLOAF. Who has a name like than anyway? I needed a good chuckle. For some reason, I keep breaking up giggling.
