Star Spotting: Adam Lambert Would Be The Best Dad! (PHOTO)
MTV Buzzworthy Posted by Byron Flitsch in Celebrity, Photos
Adam Lambert as a dad is a thing that MUST HAPPEN.
In case you need a reminder, here's a short list of things that Adam Lambert DOMINATES. He's successful at being a glam prince, he wins awards for having the biggest heart ever, and he's a good son/boss/friend. Seriously, this list could go on forever (which it does in our head and could easily be a novel called "Two Billion Reasons Why Adam Lambert Is A Hero"). So, judging by this adorable photo of Adam holding a cute kid on his shoulders, isn't it obvious that Adam would make the best dad EVER?? Any y'all Glamberts got connections at Hallmark?! 'Cause this pic needs to be a Father's Day card, STAT!
The "Never Close Our Eyes" singer shared the "AWW"-worthy photo on Instagram without a caption, because this photo doesn't even need a caption -- the cuteness alone speaks for itself. And while we can't say for sure whose child it is, we'd like to take a moment to thank them for giving us visual proof that Adam as a dad would make this world a wayyy better place. And if we're being entirely honest, we have to admit that we're a liiiittle jealous of this kid. It's always been our life goal to touch Adam's AH-MAZING quiff, but this kid scored the opportunity at the ripe age of toddlerhood! (Except that they probably won't remember it, so go figure.) It's time to start your own glamily, Lambert! J/K... kind of.

Adam Lambert Would Make The Cutest Daddy Ever

Adam Lambert posted this photo on Instagram on Sunday, proving that though he’s a total glampire babe, he does like to go out in the daylight on occasion. It appears, however, that his toddler-shaped tiara is causing Adam some physical distress.
Of course we kid!
Seeing the “Never Close Our Eyes” singer frolicking with a little bambino makes us all swoony. Wonder whose it is? Or maybe Adam finally got our note about launching his own line of kids’ clothing!

Translation of the Chinese Idol Crawl
Source: HCLU hcluless
22nd May 2013 from TwitLonger
Translation of the crawler during Adam Lambert’s Chinese Idol ‘Mad World’ performance.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXNFwgTFagY (The crawler appears starting at 1:03)
I was asked by @glam_alidol to translate this small article that appeared as crawler during Adam’s Mad World performance. It was an introduction of the song and it’s significance for Adam and American Idol Season 8, and Adam’s star quality; to the Chinese audience who were watching the opening ceremony of Chinese Idol Season 1 on May 19, 2013.
Translation:
Mad World is one of the early works of the British band ‘Tears For Fears’ in 1982. It described the world of a person on the outside looking in, the world gone mad in the eyes of this youth.
This song was arguably Adam Lambert’s most memorable performance during American Idol Season 8. Under the eerie blue mood lighting, Adam’s pale clothing took on the same dream like hue. His clean and clear vocal transcend Mad World from it’s 80’s origin, swapped the misery and destitute of it’s movie soundtrack version and took on an air of ethereal and eternal….
After his performance all the judges, for the first time in the 8 years of American Idol history, gave a standing ovation to a contestant on the stage.
Adam Lambert, the musical genius who were crowned a “Rock God”, combined with stage charisma of invincible aura, flamboyance and talent; amazing singing ability; character of humor, fearlessness and humbleness; made him American Idol’s most watched super nova.

‘American Idol’ at a crossroads: Next season to bring fresh judges, many changes
By Hollie McKay
Pop Tarts Published May 21, 2013 FoxNews.com
he 12th season of FOX’s famed “American Idol” wrapped on Thursday night, and although the most recent “Idol” installment brought new judges, talented contestants and some twists, the next season of the show may see even more changes.
The reality singing competition has endured a perpetual ratings decline in recent years, hitting an all time low this season. So what’s next for the once biggest show on television?
New judges
As first reported by TheWrap.com, the big-wigs behind “Idol” have decided to clear the slate and not bring back anyone from this year’s panel – and it was confirmed that Randy Jackson, a veteran from day one, would not be returning.
“Everyone is getting fired,” a source connected to the show told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “Although Mariah [Carey] insists she quit, she was always in trouble for not being critical enough and being too boring…Keith [Urban] is just a bore and with Randy is what like, whatever. Time for new energy.”
Nicki Minaj also won’t be returning, our source said, and we’re told that producer Nigel Lythgoe may be leaving the show as well. In addition, we’re told the future or record executive and mentor on the show since 2011, Jimmy Iovine, too is murky.
And a fresh panel may be in order after Thursday’s finale, which was the lowest-rated in “Idol” history. The showdown between Kree Harrison and eventual winner Candice Glover proved a big disappointment – averaging audience numbers of 14.3 million, significantly down from last season, which had 21 million viewers.
According to Nielsen ratings, this past season averaged around 13.3 million viewers. Compare that to season five when it peaked with 30.6 million average viewers, followed by 29.7 for season six. The most significant drop came in season nine with 22.5 million, and then season 11 with 17.4 million tuning in across the country.
So is hiring a whole new team of judging pros the right thing to do in the quest to get back on top?
“When dealing with this sort of political environment and ego that go hand in hand with a show like this, clearing the slate and starting fresh is the only rational option,” Jed Smith, founder of Beta Fish Music, said.
Smith added a new panel of judges could “restore interest” in the competition series, something this year’s panel of judges failed to do.
“This cast didn’t work…What this panel didn’t have going for it was chemistry. They didn’t seem to like each other. All the feuding set the season off on a bad note and alienated the show’s core fan base,” explained Lyndsey Parker, Yahoo! Music Managing Editor.
Slimmer paychecks
Another change coming with the 13th season may come in the form of the paychecks being awarded to “Idol” judges.
Recent reports have indicated “no more big checks for divas” – ahem, Carey who was on $18 million, while Jennifer Lopez earned $15 million and Minaj pockets $12 million.
This could also suggest that next season’s team of judges is less A-list, more industry. And according to our source, in spite of multiple reports to the contrary, Lopez isn’t being targeted to return to the judges’ seat.
The “Idol” dream team
So who could and should make up the “American Idol” dream team judging panel for season 13?
“Ben Folds (poach him from ‘The Sing Off,’ he is amazing and deserves to be on a bigger show), and Adam Lambert,” Parker suggested. “And get an industry person – whether it is a journalist, A&R person, producer, manager etc. Someone who knows what they are talking about and isn’t a celebrity just using the show to promote their other projects.”
According to Smith, character is key.
“The panel should consist of people who’d seen a lot and where in the habit of asserting their tastes. A guy who has worn every hat, rejected the industry and still succeeded, like T-Bone Burnett, would be great,” he enthused. “A master producer/songwriter with a golden ear, like Barry Gordy would be amazing and a major diva with an eye towards paradigm shift like Madonna, would round out an all-star panel.”
Nir Seroussi, Managing Director of Sony Music Latin, advocated that “Latin artists, particularly artists with crossover appeal, would be a wise choice for ‘American Idol.’”
“In my perfect scenario,” he said. “I see a record exec, a Latin crossover artist and a pop artist. I believe judges should add to the show with their personality but not steal the show, or worse, become a sideshow. They should enhance and complement – not take the spotlight away from the contestants who are the artists on ‘American Idol.’”
Another entertainment industry insider noted that it would be “genius” to bring back past winners or successful finalists to the judging fold – Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Jennifer Hudson.
Looking ahead
But we’re told despite the many edits to the series, one thing that won’t be changing for season 13 is the show’s host.
“Ryan Seacrest is safe though,” the insider said of the veteran host. “They love Ryan.”
FOX declined to comment and reps for Nigel Lythgoe did not return FOX 411’s request for comment.

Queen’s Brian May Blogs All Over ‘The Voice’ – “The Ultimate Insult To Music & Performers”
Written by Marc Zanotti on 22nd May, 2013
Queen guitarist Brian May has taken no prisoners in his scathing appraisal of televised singing contest The Voice. The critique was published on May’s personal website, where the English musician takes aim at his homeland’s version of The Voice:
“In my opinion, “The Voice” is absolutely the dullest, dumbest, most depressing programme on TV. It’s also the ultimate insult to music and to performers.
“Young singers busting their guts trying to win somebody’s attention, who is rudely sitting with their back to the singer … It brings singing down to the level of a stupid obstacle course on ‘It’s A Knockout’. This is not – NOT – what music is about.”
May goes on the explain that a singer is more than their voice and a performance needs to be seen in order for it to be fully understood and appreciated. The outraged Queen guitarist also writes that the format of The Voice is damaging to young singers:
“When we sing, or play, for real, we are NOT screaming at the top of our lungs trying to persuade someone to notice us … The performance is all about EVERYTHING the performer gives.
“This stupid, stupid idea that someone can JUDGE a singer by turning his back on him, and missing out on proper contact, is, to me, a fatuous nonsense. And actually poisonous to the growth of young performers.”
The current season of The Voice UK airs on BBC1 and features a judging panel of Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, Jessie J, and Danny O’Donoghue. In his blog May expresses disappointment that a performer the calibre of Jones has become involved with The Voice:
“I hate seeing the great Tom Jones shoehorned into this scenario … it seems to deprive everyone who takes part of their dignity.
“I hope this vile programme dies a natural death very soon.”
We can only assume that May’s beef with The Voice is strictly concerned with the show’s chair swivelling gimmick and not the overall concept of reality TV singing competitions.
After all, it was only last year that Queen toured with 2009 American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert filling in for Freddie Mercury, much to the chagrin of some critics.

Britain’s gay marriage bill passes despite Tory opposition

A bill to legalize gay marriage in Britain passes its final Commons hurdle despite fierce opposition from Tory MPs.
A bill to legalize gay marriage in Britain has passed its final Commons hurdle despite fierce
The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill was given its third reading by 366 votes to 161 and will now go to the House of Lords for consideration.
Initial analysis of the vote suggested that 136 Tory MPs, including a number of senior ministers, were among the 161 MPs who voted for blocking the reform.
The chairman of the Conservative Christian Fellowship David Burrowes, who is also one of the leading opponents of the Bill said, “the state has become involved in refining aspects of marriage, but the essential definition of marriage, and therefore its meaning and purpose, its very foundation, have remained unchanged until now."
British Prime Minister and Conservative leader David Cameron suffered a further blow after majority of his own party members refused to support the bill. Fierce opposition from Tory MPs forced Cameron to rely on the Labour Party to get the bill through the Commons.
Earlier this week, right-wing Tories proposed an amendment to allow heterosexual couples to form civil partnerships.
Downing Street, however, called the proposal a "wrecking amendment", saying that it could cost 4 billion pounds in pension changes and delay the passing of the same-sex marriage bill by up to two years.
