I liked Clay on his season and wanted him to win but after he made the remark that Adam's version of Ring Of Fire made his ears bleed I lost all respect for him. He's entitled to his opinion but to make a public statement like that after he's been where Adam was I was pissed. Adam was popular and getting a lot of press, so I think Clay just wanted to CASH in. As far as Clay being an Idol judge, lolololololololol nooooooooooo! My understanding is he wrote it on his fan club site that is accessed by paid members. Once it went public he apologized immediately for his poor choice of words. It is not like he tweeted out to the twitterverse how awful someone's singing was. It's the typical media ran with the negative and blew it out of proportion (sounds familiar) The 20second clip of him with Kelly Ripa seems a bit taken out of context. I may be coming across like a Claymate, which is honestly not the case, I am just bewildered by the hostility towards him. I think it might be fun to have both Adam and Clay on the panel. Who knows that duet might happen yet. I think both of these guys have worked hard to try to make a difference in their own way. If the pictures I saw are accurate-Frank Ocean's BF is hot! ETA: Frank may have yet a new BF. oops.

As far as Clay being an Idol judge, lolololololololol nooooooooooo! As I understand it, Clay's insulting comments about Adam were made in his fan blog. Fans must pay something like $29 for access. If you want to stretch it, you could say that he thought he was making the comments in private. Someone else made Clay's blog comments public. Knowing that Clay had been turned away from the Idol studios when he tried to meet with Adam, does make the comments seem petty and vindictive. Yes, it does sound like he was trying to CASH IN and a big NO to Clay as Idol judge.
